5 days late but worth the wait. I went into L&D at 8:00 am on the 11th due to another gall bladder attack, they finally decided to do a U/S on my gall bladder and I had to wait until about 4:00 pm to get the U/S and it confirmed that I do have gall stones so they got ready to send me home when I started having contractions so they admitted me to L&D, they wanted to break my water so I had to have my epidural. The anesthesiologist came in and started giving the epidural when I had the hardest contraction I have ever had and my membranes ruptured all over the place. I pushed through 5 contractions and Soren was finally born at 10:16 pm, she weighed in at 8 lbs 11 oz and was 20 in long. She has a little bit of brown hair and great big feet. The next morning I began to hemorraghe and a whole team of docs and nurses were sent in to stop the bleeding. I had to be put on a pictocin drip to make my uterus hard and then the doc had to pull three clots about the same size as the placenta out of me, it hurt and I was crying and shaking for about an hour afterward. My blood count was really low and I almost had to have a blood transfusion. I am so glad I didn't have to have one because I have gone through that with my first pg and I never want to do that again. Anyway I had to stay in the hospital an extra day to make sure the bleeding stopped and that everthing was normal. We are home now and doing great.
