Hi I'm new to this site and team as well. I mainly scrap cards but just finished my first scrapbook for/of my 3 year old niece. My husband and I will start ttc in a few months and once we learn we are expecting i would like to start a scrapbook to journal the experience. My top "tools" to have are definitely my Cricut, my spray glue my "Cricut" paper cutter and foam tape.

I am a traditional turned digital scrapbooker and i have to say that even though i don't use the computer much it is awesome doing digital scrapbooking. I din't have any extra space in my old house to have scrapbooking stuff out all the time and would always take everything out and have to clean it all up and hour or two later and was never geting caught up. Now with digital i can work on it whenever i have a spare minute(esp. when the kids r napping) and i a finally able to catch up and do extra projects. I use creative memories storybook creator and love it. Their books r expensive but i have been printing out books through different internet sites trying to find the best quality and pricing.

Hi, I was wondering where you look on the internet for layout ideas? Are there some good sites you would recommend?

Thanks,

Hi, I just found this site. I started scrapbooking when we were expecting our granddaughter in 2007. Now that my son has been born and my granddaughter is living with us, it's hard to find time to keep it up. Since I'm a digi-scrapper, I can scrapbook for a few minutes without having a lot of clean up or worry about small pieces with a 2-year-old and a 7-month-old under my feet all day.
My "must-have" item is most definitely my lap top computer.

i would have to say that the scotch brand photo corners are the best.. there is not sticky on the photos so if you decide that you want to take it out for a frame or to make a copy of the photo it doesnt ruin the layouts on the page. also sticker letters and 3D pieces that you can attatch to a page are also wonderful!!

My must have items are... lots of glue sticks, chipboard and sticker alphabets, my cuttlebug machine (best invention ever!) and wavy scissors. And, of course, lots and lots of embellishments!!

OMG! I'm sooo glad I found this mommyteam! I just started scrapbooking when I was prego with Emma and now I love it and it's so relaxing sometimes when I just need a moment to myself.
My must-have items would have to be the internet for layout ideas and lots and lots of stickers, glue sticks, and pics of course lol.

Hi there, everyone! I'm new to the site and the group, but not to scrapping!! A friend got me into it last summer, and I've become quite the addict! My project has been my daughter's 1st year baby book, and I'm very proud to say I'm going to meet my goal of having it finished for her 1st birthday party on April 4th!!

As far as must-have items, you gotta get a great glue stick/pen, cutter, ruler, and some fun paper. A "beginner" scrapbook magazine will help with layout ideas as well. I'm a huge fan of Close To My Heart (if anyone is in the Northern VA area, let me know, as I have a wonderful consultant!) and they have some great "programs" for layouts, and awesome paper packets that are already color coordinated so you don't have to think about if the papers will look good together.

Can't wait to get to know everyone and get some fun ideas from you all!! :)

I have been scrapbooking for many years. I go thru Close to my Heart. If you want to see some info or just chat about supplies let me know. They have great products. I also have a cricut which I LOVE!! My first scrapbook was my wedding album and you can tell it was my first. I am currently working on a Disney Album but b/c I took so many pictures I have to put them into two albums. I would love to help anyone who is interested in learning more. I can send pictures of the pages I have done to help anyone with ideas. I also attend workshops to learn new techniques. And we just recently did a 15 hour crop. I love those, b/c it gives me time to actually do nothing but scrapbook.
If anyone lives in the Missouri or Kansas, contact me and we can talk about doing some workshops.

I have been scrapbooking for a few years now. I finally finished my 2year old dd's 1st year scrapbook. Tools I love are the many different ways to attach items other then glue. Brads, sewing w/ thread and such. Paper trimmers are wonderful. And of course we can't forget all of the organizing tools to keep all those tiny parts out of our babies mouths.

Faith is taking the next step, even when you can't see the whole staircase! MLK

Hi, I am new to the group but I have been scrapbooking for about 3 1/2 years, ever since my son was born. I am totally addicted but it is hard to find time to scrap with a little one. I set up something crafty for him to do if I need to get a project finished. And he goes around telling his Dad he needs to finish his scrapbook. It's too funny! But if that doesn't work I joined a scrapbook club and we get together once a month and try to do a big crop every other month just to keep caught up.
