Hello everyone!

This is my first baby and I was told I am due November 7th. So that would make me 8 weeks pregnant starting this week. I think they are a week off, so I am just saying that I am due in early November.

I am so excited, nervous, etc. And I am glad to see there are a lot of women on here that have had children before b/c I am going to be asking so many questions!

Like...how do you deal with the cravings? I have been a fitness nut for 15 years and eat well the majority of the time, but for some reason I am craving burgers and pancakes! Crazy! I am in really good health so the red meat is not a problem, but the sweet cravings are driving me crazy!

I look forward to interacting with you all in the 8 months to come! And beyond I hope.

BTW - my name is not Tammy. However, I am going incognito until I come out to work. I have to hide this from work for as long as possible. It's awful, but true...they are really horrible to pregnant women in my office. So the longer you can hide it, the better.

Congrats on your pregnancy and welcome to the team. There are lots of resources on here, both with the articles and the team members, so ask away. I know I did last time. And I'm sorry to hear that you feel you need to hide your pregnancy from your coworkers and managers at work. May you have a healthy and happy nine months :)

Too funny - I've been craving burgers as well!

I also understand how you feel about work. I've only been in my job for about 4 months now, so it's going to be really hard to tell them. Also, my boss wants to have children and just found out she may not be able to have them. I feel awful for her and I don't know how I'm going to break the news to her that I'm pregnant. My other concern is that since I'll be delivering before I've been working there for a year - I will not have job protection. Not sure I totally understand the policies, but I can't ask HR until I'm ready to announce it. I'm hoping to wait another 5 weeks or so.
