Vitamin B-12 May Prevent Birth Defects
Women of childbearing age (especially those who are pregnant or trying to conceive) are advised to eat 400 mg of folic acid (folate) daily to prevent neural tube defects, such as spina bifida, from occurring in their babies. New research shows that vitamin B12 may also play a role.
They put me on pelvic rest and no exercise at 24 weeks due to contractions. I gained a lot more than I wanted to and it is so depressing!

That's good. I can't do anymore cardio, but I am still alternating between my 3 videos, I just do the strength training portion of my Jazzercise dvd, and another 30 min. video, then my yoga. I haven't been doing them nearly as much as I'd like, but that's mostly because of time, and busy summertime life. My daughter goes back to school in 6 days, and I am looking forward to having freedom to exercise each morning until baby is here. Six more weeks to go for me!

I'm still managing to swim 2x a week, but my yoga dvd is out; I just can't sit cross legged on the floor! Kind of depressing since it is a prenatal workout, but I just can't manage it. Also still doing some gardening and house cleaning (of course!)

I am still exercising as well, and chasing a 3 yo and 2 yo! I am not sure why I have the energy to keep working out 4 days a week but I find I feel better when I keep up with my workouts. I also have a few pregnancy videos that I alternate doing and now since my bp is slowly rising I have pumped up my walking with a Leslise Sansone 5 mile walk video. I am hoping to avoid a continuous rise in bp with exercise and diet so I pray I can continue this until the end! Great job on keeping up with exercising I know it can be very difficult with all the everyday demands and stresses of life!

Hello,
I was just curious if everyone else has been keeping up on their workout--whatever type that may be. Two weeks ago, I stopped going to my Jazzercise classes. I now am (trying) to workout 5 days a week and using my 3 different pregnancy videos. I have one yoga tape that I do twice a week, and 2 full body workouts that I alternate on Mon, Wed & Fri. I am really glad I am still able to workout. With baby #2, I could not do anything after 7 months-not even walking for exercise. I had to save all my energy for just my daily life. So I'm happy to be doing better this time. I'm not sure how much longer I'll be able to keep this up. I think I'll be lucky to make the 8 month mark--more like with my first baby. Just wanting to know how everyone else is doing! I've got two different post natal workout dvds all ready for after baby is born. I just can't wait to be done!
