Hi!
I am new to the team. I have already done 9 weeks of bed rest, but was taken off two weeks ago. It was great to have some freedom!
I was put back on today and it will be this way for the duration of my pregnancy, (hopefully 36 weeks, when they will take my baby via c-section). I will end up on bed rest in the hospital at some point - not sure when, but hopefully not before week 32 - but it could be as early as week 24.

I am so bummed for so many reasons. For one, the aches and pains. For another, I liked showing off my buddha baby belly! This will be my first baby and most likely my last. So missing out on such things is disappointing. I also won't be taking the hypnobabies classes, pre natal yoga, etc that I SO wanted to do. I feel robbed!

Thanks for letting me vent!
Erin

Welcome!

I will keep you in my prayers. I know how you feel. I went on bedrest about 2 wks ago for preterm labor.. The dr has allowed me to work part time hours until the end. Since I sit on my butt all day at work and if there are any problems I am literally 5 mins away and DH works at the same office so he is there for me.

I felt robbed as well. I lost 40 lbs before I got pregnant and wanted to work out like I did before. But that didn't happen. I had to put my Curves membership on hold cause of all the pain that I have been through and the bed rest. I go to see my dr every week and know that at any time I can go back on bed rest. I am lucky that I didn't have my LO early so far.

Good luck and keep us posted on how you are doing.

I am so sorry you have had to start out so early on with bed rest! The hospital bed rest was the hardest for me so far, just make sure that you bring plenty of activities to do. If you scrapbook, knit, like magazines, or have a lap top, those are great to have with you. Try to take it easy till then and update when you can!

Hi, I'm new on this team. I have been in bed rest for 9 weeks already. I'm hopping next week I'll finish with.I'm going to see my doctor and I'm hopping everything is good. I was in bed rest for bleeding and imminent abortion but now I'm feeling much better. At the begging was really hard, now I get used with. I have everything around me and my husband is very kind.

Bed rest can be challenging - but a supportive DH is key to getting through!!!
I was on 28 weeks of modified bed rest - just taken off a few weeks ago. You CAN do this no matter for how long.

Good luck and use the time to reflect and be present with your pregnancy and baby.

Hi!

I'm new too. I have been on modified bed rest since week 9, believe it or not. I have a compressed nerve in one hip, and have fallen because of it. I walk with a walker so I dn't fall again, and have just been informed I have tendonitis in my knee and a hip strain (probably because of the fall). In addition I am being watched like a hawk for placental failure and preeclampsia. I am about to lose it. The only saving grace I have right now is finding out that my amnio came clear, so I have one less worry (I was terrified at the idea of the baby needing surgery right after birth!). I hope that times flies!
