Vitamin B-12 May Prevent Birth Defects
Women of childbearing age (especially those who are pregnant or trying to conceive) are advised to eat 400 mg of folic acid (folate) daily to prevent neural tube defects, such as spina bifida, from occurring in their babies. New research shows that vitamin B12 may also play a role.

Hello Ladies,

This week let’s focus on alternatives for high sugar and high fat treats for children. Read BOOtiful Halloween Treats or No Tricks! Just Healthier Halloween Treats for great ideas. On our family night out we enjoy a low fat frozen yogurt instead of ice-cream and this year I purchased bouncy balls and 100% fruit roll-ups to pass out on Halloween.

Share healthy alternative items you use to reward children.
