Hi. My name is Jodie. I am a music and movement teacher in Northern Virginia and a mom to 4 beautiful girls. I am pregnant with surprise number 5. I found out I was pregnant last week but will not have an ultrasound for another 3 weeks. My plans were to train for a half marathon taking place in June. Now I just hope to be able to keep up the running. I have already had to cut back in order to keep my heart rate in check. I hope to stay on target and hopefully not get sidelined by placenta previa or bleeding as I did with my last 2.
I look forward to reading posts and getting different ideas on how to incorporate exercises in to my routine.

Hi! I'm Leanna, I am a SAHM of a 7 month old little girl. The transition from my job where I worked 7 days a week sometimes to not going anywhere anymore has really brought me down. I need a little kick in the butt to get moving again and be a positive, active role model for my little girl. I hope joining the 2010 challenge mommy team will give me the motivation to get moving and be healthier.

We hope to TTC again after I lose 40-50lbs. I was 210lbs the last time I got pregnant, and though I only gained 10lbs, I found it really hard on my body to be so heavy when pregnant. I want to start off this next pregnancy healthier and be able to stay active throughout it.

Looking forward to getting to know everyone here and being part of a team to motivate eachother to reach our goals! Cheers to a happier and healthier new year!

Hi my name is Shawna. I found out I was pregnant in Decemeber 2009. I am due August 2010. I have a two year old son and a wonderful hubby. When I got pregnant with my son I was 200 lbs. I gained 53 with him and struggled to lose the weight. I was 230 lbs. for a long time and then started running and keeping track of my calories and am down to 180. I had wanted to be 160 before I got pregnant again but I guess that wasnt in the plans. I am determined to keep my weight under 200lbs this pregnancy and continue exercising throughout. So far I have gained 1.5 lbs. Think I am doing good so far!!

My name is Aleshia and I am a stay-at-home mother of one 1 year old boy. I previously spent my days (and nights) as a real estate agent, pizza delivery driver, tastefully simple consultant and tanning consultant - all at the same time. Needless to say, I am super excited that I am no longer 'working'. However, I am sure that many of you will agree that being a stay-at-home Mom still has many characteristics. I definitely wear numerous hats: teacher, teddy bear, doctor, housekeeper, companion, sister, daughter, friend, student, and CHEF. There is definitely TONS more! I embrace each new 'role' as it arises, and I love being 'all of the above'.

DH and I have begun to make preparations for TTC our second child. Presently we have decided to begin in April 2010. I have myself on a relatively relaxed schedule of 6 small meals and LOTS of water a day and 3 days of exercise a week. Each month I intend on adding to my preparatory goals - my ultimate goal is to turn several of these changes into permanent habits. For those of you considering TTC soon, please join me in the following MommyTeam:

Trying to Conceive in 2010

Much love,

Aleshia

Happy New Year! I found this group from an ad on here and I think its great for me! I have the goal of training for a marathon after my little boy is born (this month or next). I like the monthly challenges to keep things changing, and I'd love help with accountability. I did set some smaller goals (shorter distance races) to build up to but because my goal is pretty over-arching, I'm going ot need help with accountability and motivation to get through the day to day stuff and help me get there!

Love came on 2/1/2010 at 7:07pm. He was 7lbs 2oz and 18 3/4 inches long. The most loved little boy in the world! Time to make him a big brother!

Hi, I found my way here from sparkpeople where I've been active on/off for about 2 yrs?
I thought this might be a better match since I'm nursing my baby and trying to lose weight.
My #4 is almost 6 mos so it's time to shed the baby fat and stop wearing maternity clothes!
