Organic on a Budget
People buy certified organic foods because they believe they are healthier. But adding organic foods into your diet can be expensive! Here are some tips to make an organic diet more affordable.
Spring is almost here, and with warmer weather comes charity run and walk season! Have you signed up for a charity run or walk? If so, give yourself a big pat on the back and then tell everyone about it by posting in this team!
If you haven't signed up yet, BabyFit and the Moms Give Hope team encourage you to select an event that will challenge your body and allow you to support a cause that you feel strongly about. Remember to share your story and any fundraising needs in this team.
Not ready for a race? No worries! You have time to train. BabyFit has guides for walkers of all fitness levels. This is a great time of year to do something positive for your body, your family and your community. To show our support, BabyFit will give a BabyFit baseball cap to any mom who participates in a charity event and posts about it in the Moms Give Hope Team. Have more questions? Please read the team guidelines.

for the last 2 years my brother and sister inlaw have put on a charity walk / run race for Def children and their families. My husband and I could not do it the 1st year because I had just had a baby a week or 2 prior. Last year we started a family tradition where he and I and are kids all walk/run in the race together. We also volunteer to spread the word around the communities where we live and help out at the race before and after. We are very excited about going this year again and have signed up for it all ready. If you want any info on it you can go to signsonthetrail.com for more information.

I am signed up for the Michigan MS Walk. I am not sure even how many years I have been doing it. I have MS and have for the last 20 years, so this cause is near and dear to my heart. Our walk is May 2. I am really struggling this year with fundraising. I have an online giving link I can provide for those interested. It is on my blog www.gigglesandgrimaces.blogspot.co m on the very bottom or you can mommymail me and I will send it.
My family does it each year, I am thrilled to be doing it for the 3rd time preggo! I thought the MS would keep me from finding a husband, and due to years of being very sick, definitely thought I would never have children. But I went into remission in July 2005 and pregnancy/breastfeeding have kept me there, allowing me to realize several dreams, including taking up running and doing a 5K last July. From a wheelchair to 5K, doesn't get much better than that!

I am team captain for the 2010 blair county Walk for Autism. It is june 12. We have raised 100 dollars so far but want to raise way more. I will also be doing either the July 4th 5K or 2 mile walk depending on how I am feeling closer to then.

Sunday, April 10th I did the Walk for MS in Virginia Beach. I had success raising money for my first time. It was a great turnout as well. I managed to walk about 4 miles, with great success due to how great I have been feeling with my pregnancy! I hope to continue doing this walk each year and its amazing to read everyone else's stories!
