My little girl is starting to have this issue: she goes to the bathroom before night time and she does pee but then she wants/needs to stay longer, much longer (I need to tell her to be done and she get s upset) because she says she is not done she feels pee is still coming but nothing comes up. this happened a couple of times before nap and bedtime.she does not have any pain, burn at all, just the urge to go, although she seems empty. Does anyone have the same issue? is it a behavioral issue or bladder one? please help me I am getting worried,
thanks
ROse

She may be "stopped up"...my daughter had an UTI, and then a few months later she started having the urge to pee but nothing...and that was how the UTI started...I took her to the doctor and the culture was neg...the doc said she could be backed up and it could put pressure on the bladder...making her feel like she had to go...make sure things are moving...

I want to take her to the doc and have the urine tested too, so if the culture is negative, what do I need to do? could she still have a UTI?

if its a UTI the doc will most likely give you antibiotics and tell you some tips on how to avoid UTIs...if its not a UTI (as was the case our 2nd time) the doc will give you tips on what could be causing the issue and ways to fix....my suggestion would be go to doc...and get her bowels moving to help relieve pressure on her bladder.
