I added breastmilk to all Celeste's first foods to thin them enough for her to take them. You can just gradually add less, or add cereal more to thicken or thin them as your baby needs.

I don't call it diluting, it's more like adding protein. When we first started solids I added bm to everything. If I had a veggie, I'd add bm and if it was too thin I'd thicken it up with cereal. Now we do give her some solids without bm, but it's not always. I like adding bm to it to give her more calories & protein.

i only add bm to his cereal. i started it out very thin and then now i just play around with the consistency to get it as thin or as thick as i want it to be. sometimes i like him to have eith thinner and other times thicker.

i don't dilute his other foods with bm though. i just do it with a few tablespoons of water.

I just started my guy on rice cereal and have been diluting it one part to three+ parts breastmilk. Should I be diluting other foods with breastmilk too? How long do you dilute it for? And do you gradually add less milk to the food so it's thicker?

Thanks!
