I also give Celeste cold (from fridge), warmed up, or room temp depending on the food and when I prepared it. If I make it and then give it to her, it's cold fruit or whatever and fresh food cooled enough for her. If it's stored in the fridge, I try not to leave it in there for longer than a week. Just think about how long would you leave leftovers for yourself in the fridge and eat it? Hope this helps.

We just run the pouches of food under hot water to take the cold edge off. This works when we are out becuase we just ask for a cup of hot water.

I've never actually left it out to reach room temp, I usually microwave it until it's basically between hot and cold, or if we're going to be out I'll take it from the fridge and it'll be out about an hour or so. Hope that helps.

thanks guys, so my question now is on the room temp...if i have had it in the frig to thaw (if frozen) or just to store, how long can i leave it out? Does it depend on the food? or is there a general time that food can be out that it would still be good?

that may really be a stupid question since it is just regular food just mashed up, so i now am thinking that i could leave it out like i would my own food..

am i thinking this through to much?

I server it warm, room temperature, or cold (straight from fridge) depending on what I am doing at the time. He has never seemed to mind, but he seems to eat everything I put in front of him.

I wondered about this too at first. If they'll eat it cold or room temp that's convenient for if you're out and about and can't heat it. My LO at first would only eat it warm though, so I stuck to warming it and testing a spoonful on my wrist first to make sure it wasn't too hot. I hated the idea of accidentally burning LO's mouth. I also have the spoons that turn white if the food is too hot, they work great. After a while my LO started eating food at any temp, which is nice.

I would serve it room temp or lightly warm. My spoons have indicators if food is too hot- I just make sure the spoon says it is ok.
