I regret my decision to have a D&C everyday. I was almost 17 weeks when I lost my angel. And I regret not being able to see or hold her. I do not know how I would feel if I was not as far along. I still bled and cramped for weeks afterwards and had to get another one done because I wouldn't stop bleeding. I also am know suffering from secondary infertility and there is a possibility it is due to scaring from the D&C. The more I think about it,the more I think you should avoid a D&C if you can. Take the time while you are physically healing to emotionally heal and process what has happened.

I had a D&C with my miscarriage. My doctor gave me the option since I was only 11 weeks. I opted to have one done because my doctor told me that in the case of natural miscarriages, not everything will come out and you might have to have one anyway. So I opted just to have it and be done with it right away instead of dragging out the process.

I have heard that a D&C is usually wonderful in that it helps avoid the devastation that occurs when you have to miscarry naturally (actually seeing the miscarriage) but I had a bad experience with my D&C.

Never had a D&C but I lost my twins at 20 weeks and delivered naturally (pitocin to speed up) in the hospital. So sorry for her loss but I would be interested to hear about a woman's D&C experience and if she tell other woman to get one too or not. One of my placentas was like shredded so not all of it delivered and I was in the hospital a week later, almost needed a D&C to help clear me out but I declined because I had hear horrible things about them.

My friend was 12wks pregnant and never heard a heart beat, confirmed by ultrasound. Her Dr gave her the option of letting her body shed her baby naturally or go get a D&C. I just want to hear your thoughts on this.
