Vitamin B-12 May Prevent Birth Defects
Women of childbearing age (especially those who are pregnant or trying to conceive) are advised to eat 400 mg of folic acid (folate) daily to prevent neural tube defects, such as spina bifida, from occurring in their babies. New research shows that vitamin B12 may also play a role.

Hi there! CONGRATS on the first baby! I'm also in a 2-career family. Only my husband and I are on our second (and last) child so I'm nervous a bit about the added member but excited too... As for work, well I'd already been fairly disconnected before pregnancy. So it's been pretty difficult to stay focused. But I'm working on it. January can't come fast enough though. lol

Hello there, this is our first child and my first pregnancy; we are a two-career family and my job is the more stable one. I am excited to be part of this forum just to know there are others out there balancing work and growing families -- I haven't yet told anyone at work (just wrapping up week 10), but it feels weird to share something personal with work. Hoping to stave off the guilt of not being able to focus, having low energy!
