Vitamin B-12 May Prevent Birth Defects
Women of childbearing age (especially those who are pregnant or trying to conceive) are advised to eat 400 mg of folic acid (folate) daily to prevent neural tube defects, such as spina bifida, from occurring in their babies. New research shows that vitamin B12 may also play a role.

Good for you! DH and I are also 28 and ready to ttc our first. I am sorry to hear about your loss in January. Glad to hear that you have family support. Sending you lots of sticky baby dust.

Hi there! I recently logged back into the site and decided to explore all of the great features it offers! My husband and I are TTC our first baby. I coordinate a public education program for a hospital and cover 4 counties, so I am on the go quite a bit. After my husband was laid off, we decided it would be a great time for him to return to school. We have been TTC since October 2008, lost a baby in January 2009, and recently decided there was no time like the present to try again! We are both 28 and we want more than one child, so we feel that we should get on with our journey instead of waiting for life to be "perfect" to try for a baby. My husband has two boys from a previous marriage, and they are excited by the prospect of a new sibling :-) And last but not least, we have a blue Great Dane named Greta. I love meeting new friends and hoping to do so on this site!
