Starting Position
Stand with your feet staggered. Hold the dumbbells or band handles down by your side with palms forward and wrists straight. Be sure to have good posture with your back straight and shoulders back and slightly down. If using the bands have the foot holding the band down approximately 6 inches out in front of you.

Action
Keep your elbows in the same position and close to your body while bending both arms up. When curling the weight or band up continue raising the weight until just before the point where the dumbbell is positioned directly above the elbow. Lower the weight or band to the Starting Position.

Special Instructions
Use 3 to 10 pound dumbbells doing 10 reps per arm and 1-2 sets. Rest approximately one to two minutes between sets. As you reach later stages of your pregnancy you may want to do this exercise sitting in a chair for easier balance. Remember to keep you body still and elbows close to your side. You should not be rocking or moving your back to aid in lifting the weight.
