I guess the rhythm method really doesn't work when you don't have a rhythm (especially since I breastfed for so long). So my LO has his 12 month check up and I have my official prenatal check up right after his appointment. How sweet. <BR> <BR> I can honestly say that I am so excited for another little baby but horribly terrified about having... Fri, 28 Jan 2011 12:49:08 EST Finally some relief http://babyfit.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=329795 I have been trying to wean my little one. I work all day and I usually pump twice daily. I am continuing to feed him at night, so really I am only weanning myself from pumping. It was so horrible. I hurt so bad the first two days and now today it is such a relief! My boobs don't hurt! Hopefully things continue the way I would like and then I can slowly start weaning him off of nights. I just can't believe that my six month old is still not sleeping throughout the night. But I am okay waking u... Wed, 4 Aug 2010 13:21:24 EST Trying to Wean http://babyfit.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=329739 My little one is now just over 6 months. I have been strictly breastfeeding him. No formula. We have been doing the cereal and the baby food. It was tough at first getting him use to the formula taste. I had to do 1/2 and 1/2. (1/2 breastmilk, 1/2 formula). Now that he is use to the taste I have been trying to slowly wean him. I still nurse him during the night (he will wake up still 1-2 times a night). But I think he is stuck on a routine that when I get home from work and pick him up at my ... Tue, 3 Aug 2010 11:13:49 EST 34 hours of labor!!! http://babyfit.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=325244 In my birthing classes the instructor had told us that a typical first delivery would take over 12 hours easily. But little did I know that I would go past 24 hours of hard labor. <BR> It all started on monday the 25th of january at 3:00 am. My contractions woke me up from sleeping and I grabbed a note pad and pen and started to write down the times. Later in the morning I called my parents to let them know to make their way to New Mexico because I was in labor. They really didn't have to... Mon, 12 Apr 2010 14:51:09 EST Taking His sweet time!!! http://babyfit.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=321030 So basically I am exactly 40 weeks today.... and no baby!! lol. Every one that was in my birthing class with me had their baby at least 2 weeks early and i am the only one still holding strong. I was thinking that I was going to have my baby early but I guess momma was wrong! I have lost my mucous plug on monday (3 days ago) and I am dilated 1 cm but nothing has been happening. My Doctor said that the water bag is bulging and any minutes it could break but why won't it? ugh!! I am so tired of... Thu, 21 Jan 2010 15:16:13 EST Flu scare http://babyfit.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=315670 Working in a long term care facility is so stressful. The residents will get infections from relatives outside the facility. Including the flu. I have gotten my regular flu shot , which provides a little bit of security. But the H1N1 flu was just documented in my county in the ER room. I am so nervous. I don't know how much longer I am going to have to wait until my health care provider gets the vaccine for the swine flu but until then, I am on edge. My husband is constantly reminding me to w... Wed, 21 Oct 2009 13:49:54 EST He felt him Move!!! http://babyfit.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=313774 My baby boy has been kicking up a storm for the past month. Just last weekend I felt him move with my hands. It was such a wonderful experience, if only I could have shared it with my husband. He was out of town on a hunting trip and I was staying with his parents. And ever since my husband has come home, the baby just hasn't kicked around him. I think maybe he was a little shy. But just yesterday, while waiting to go to dinner with my mother-in-law, I started feeling the guy squirming, so I ... Fri, 18 Sep 2009 11:22:47 EST Is it over yet?? http://babyfit.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=312825 This is my first pregnancy and now that I am finally showing everything on my body is aching! From my head to my toes! I think it finally all caught up to me yesterday. I am so tired of aching and not sleeping, and people talking to me about getting big. But I guess I will have to get over that and just deal with it, since I will probably get quite larger. But hey! I did good. 5 months tomorrow and I am finally showing enough that people don't think I am fat. They might actually think I am pr... Wed, 2 Sep 2009 11:15:00 EST ER Drama http://babyfit.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=307207 What a scary moment for a soon to be mom. It started around 3 in the afternoon. I was having severe cramping down in my pelvic area. It felt almost like a menstral cramp. I threw up twice within 1 hour due to the intense pain. I left work early and headed home, calling my fiance along the way to let him know what was going on. He met me at home and layed down next to me on the bed to try and get me to relax. I took some mild tylenol, since I was told that was okay. The pain subsided for about... Tue, 23 Jun 2009 11:24:31 EST
