This is my third (actually fourth, but I left a team after I mc'd) BabyFit Team and I'm looking forward to getting to know the April 2013 moms.
During my time on BF, I've made several friends. About a dozen or so moms from my Dec 2006 board still keep up with each other as Facebook and through a private board on FB. I also keep up with some of the moms from my Dec 2009 board. I've even met a couple of moms in person!
I become very good friends with one mom in particular from my Dec 2006 team. She was my Labor Buddy (the mom from the board I was paired with and called once I went into labor - and she called me, too). We messaged each other frequently, called each other on the phone, sent cards and gifts by snail mail, and often emailed each other - during and after our pregnancies. Although we never met in person (she lived on the West Coast and I'm in the Southeast), we bonded - even to the extent that I talked to her husband a few times (while he was going through law school and sitting for the bar).
In Dec 2006, she had a boy; I had my now 5 year old daughter. Just before her little boy turned 4, my friend died suddenly - a complication of her second pregnancy. I spoke to her family members and found out the details. I cried for the sudden loss of my young, beautiful, happy, vibrant friend. I cried for her loving husband. I cried for her little boy who would never get to cling to his mommy's arms again. It's hard for me to log onto my BabyFit page because her face is there reminding me that I can no longer pick up the phone and give her a call. I won't remove her though. She was my first BabyFit friend - my best Babyfit friend, and I miss her terribly.
