 It's official: Our BABY girl is 1.5 years old. Each day I am cuddling her, kissing her, and trying to enjoy this babyhood because it is flying by TOO quickly! I love watching my girls grow and change, but I never imagined how fast they would grow up.
Ava continues to sleep very well! She's now sleeping in her own bed until 6 or later each morning. Woohoo!!!! Most nights she wakes up around midnight, but we can quickly get her back to sleep. Once she wakes up in the morning, she'll sleep in my bed until 8:30-9 most days. This is changing VERY soon though because I'm back to work as of today. We had a GREAT summer, and I will definitely remember this summer vacation with fond memories. I'm only working every other day from 7:30-10:30, so I'll still be spending tons of time during the day with my girls. Alayna is starting pre-school, and I can't wait to have some one-on-one time with Ava!
Ava is speaking more and more each day, but she still isn't say too much. I would say she's up to 15 words. She is easily frustrated when I don't understand her. This month she has started taking my hand and pulling me to the places she wants me to go. For example, she'll take my hand and drag me to the pantry to show me which snack she wants.
Ava has been watching Alayna play games on my iPhone, and now she is joining in on the fun. She loves listening to the abc song, animals sounds, and If you're happy and you know it.
Ava knows the motions to If You're Happy and You Know It and Jack in the Box (a library class song). We do both of these songs multiple times each day.
Our little girl is a CLIMBER. She is on top of the couch headrest, on bar stools, climbing the backs of chairs, on top of the table....everywhere!
Ava LOVES shoes. She is always looking for a pair to wear! She also likes to change her shoes frequently. Sometimes she even wants to go to bed with them. She also enjoys wearing Alayna's shoes.
Ava wants to do everything that Alayna does. If Alayna gets a sucker, she wants a sucker. If Alayna hides behind the couch, Ava will do it too. If Alayna is trying to get our attention by doing something silly, Ava is doing it too.
Ava is wearing a size 4 diaper, size 12-18 month clothing, and a size 4 (sometimes 5) shoe. She got another tooth over the last month, so now she's up to 12. I'm pretty sure she's teething again right now too. She has her 18 month wellness visit next Wednesday!
