So, its been awhile. Violet is now 5 months old, 17 lbs, eating rice cereal and some veggies. She can stay away for 2 hours at a time (and naps for 2 hours!) and sleeps through the night (12-13 hours). She has her first little cold with low-grade fever and nightttime cough.
She is a happy, easy baby. She smiles, laughs (at daddy and Kent mostly), she "squawks" instead of talks. She LOVES the jumperoo. She has recently started the normal wanting to be held all the time. She has broken her swaddle and can no longer sleep on a pillow on the bed because she falls off and then pulls the pillow over her face. She loves carrots and green beans in her rice cereal but doesn't like squash.
She is a fat, fat baby and has huge cheeks. It gets pretty difficult to carry her in the car seat now. She is still not rolling over or sitting up without doing it tripod style.
In other news, we start homeschooling Kent for pre-k starting in two weeks. I can't believe it is already August! We are also potty-training Isaac. No accidents so far, but also no successes. Kalen, Krista and the girls moved to San Fran last weekend. One of the hardest and most emotional weekends ever. We are still running the dept at the church. K is still working all the time at the hospital. K's car is in the shop with an expensive, rare problem and so we are back down to one car again indefinitely.
I can't believe that Christmas is only 4 months away. Where did this year go?!
