Paying for the baby.

Paying for the baby. blog
So, I was looking at the price of diapers and about freaked. I also was not too happy with the amount for baby food and formula. Sooo I went through and was looking at ways to save. We are going to make half of the baby food at home and buy the others. I am going to breast feed for at least a while (I had planned to anyways but now going to do it longer than originally planned). We also are looking at joining Sam's club and buying in Bulk, I should be joining this week. I still have to check on if they accept coupons! I have to pick back up on couponing. Also we are buying from garage sales and thrift stores for clothing. Anyone else have any ideas? What are you all doing?

"Thank you! I had priced shopped the diapers and for where i live it was cheaper. I am joining when my boyfriend comes home from his work trip. Good to know that they don't take coupons! That raffel idea is great! I will talk with my host and see if she can put it on the invitations. Love it! I am worried about buying too many diapers too early as I will have a pretty big baby shower lol. But I guess if I buy sizes up like you said, that could work. Thank you!" -- QUINTERO-MARTIN
"I have found though quite often at least around here Sam's club isn't the cheapest. It was usually Meijer or Walmart that had the cheapest prices when it came to diapers and wipes plus they accept coupons. Just thought I'd give you a heads up on that to make sure to shop around first." -- RHQTALUM
"Sams has great prices but do not accept coupons. We shop there as well for diapers and wipes. They do sell formula at lower prices, food too. I agree with pp- I started picking up things early so as not to over whelm my pocket book later. I bet have enough wipes and diapers that we wont need them for the first 3 months or longer. Best wishes- it all does work out in the end!" -- HC2007
"I always start buying diapers early whenever I have a coupon so that you have at least a stock set up... 2-3 packs of newborn, 10 size 1's, etc. Plus you should get a baby shower and if you know who is throwing it ask them to include a diaper raffle where if they bring any size pack of diapers there name gets put in for a gift card to a restaurant near you..." -- JLTATER3997
