 Today Ava is 16 months old. It's hard to believe I was nearly through my first trimester with Ava when Alayna was this age.
We are in the process of transitioning Ava to a room with her sister. We put her to bed in her baby bed for naps and at night, but she ends up in our bedroom between 11:30-1:30 am. I'd really like her to start sleeping ALL night in her bed, but I think I'll have to get her to stop bfing before that happens. Although I'm ready to quit bfing, Ava is not.
Ava and Alayna are playing together a lot these days. Ava has started calling Alayna "Na-Na". I think she gets it from the -NA of Alayna's name. They love to play with their babies, play pretend in with their kitchen set, and read books together.
Ava got her own library card last week. She has been attending library class since she was 1 week old! She always goes to the class that her sister is in. She participates and has participated for months. She can't do all the motions to the songs, but she tries. :)
Ava is imitating sounds that we make. She still isn't saying too many words. I thinks she is trying, so hopefully we'll understand her better soon.
Ava does the happy dance when Justin gets home from work. She laughs, says dada, stomps her feet happily...very sweet!
Ava has gotten 2 more teeth since last month, so she is up to 8.
