At this point I don't even know you're there yet. We're trying though and hoping you are, but you're still too little to show up on any tests yet. I've been taking my prenatal vitamin everyday though hoping you'll stick and grow big and strong.
Week 2:
Temperatures are staying nice high, and my monthly friend has stayed away. Taking tests every couple days but you're still too little to show up quite yet.
Week 3:
YAY!! Positive test!! Saturday March 24th, 2012 we got a positive test!! We offically know you are growing in there :) It was a really faint positive though, and I woke your father up at 5am to tell him, but its not news that I can keep to myself, this is exciting, we're going to be your parents! :) Of course it was very faint, so I went out and got a digital one too, so there would be no guessing, and it also said YES! then went out and bought another digital one that told me how many weeks I was. Humour your mother it makes her feel better to keep seeing the tests telling me your in there growing lol
Week 4:
Ok so Week 3/Week 4... really some of this happened at the end of week 3.. but end of last week, and this week, we told your grandparents, your great grandparents, your aunt Shannon, and your many aunts, uncles, cousins that you're in my belly. We surprised your grandfather and grandmother Priest with a Grandma, Grandpa from A&W burger. With your aunt Shannon and Grandfather and Grandmother Samson, and your aunt Crystal and uncle J we took them in and said we had a picture to show them, and then showed them the picture of our positive test :) Your great grandma Wilson we told over a nice dinner at your Grandmother Priests house. And then made lots of phone calls to the rest of your great grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. All which are so excited about you :) You have so many people already fighting over spoiling you already and you're not even two months yet lol You also went fishing for the time with daddy and Uncle J, and mommy caught your first fish with you. A cute little Mudsucker.
Week 5:
So we had our first prenatal appointment, not sure if I'm going to stay with this doctor or not, but she checked me all over, and gave us a clean bill of health. Morning Sickness has started, I've only thrown up once so far, but its been hard to find any foods that sound good. Everything keeps making me feel like I'm going to throw up. According to the show Glee that means your healthy, so I'm going to keep reminding myself morning sickness means your heathy. You saw your first movie at the theatre, we took you to see The Hunger Games with Aunt Crystal and Uncle J.
Week 6:
So I spotted a little, but they say your ok, and everything still looks good, but you scared the life out of mommy. Your poor father had to drive us to the hospital, well waiting with a very anxious mommy for six hours, but they say everythings fine. They actually sent me for an early ultrasound, and they readjusted your due date to what I orginally thought it was, which will be the day after Grandma/Grandpa Priests anniversary, but everythings still good. Morning Sickness still continuing, and aversions to many foods. Although you seem to love oranges... really most fruit, fish n chips, cheeseburgers, and chocolate, everything else makes mommy feel sick.
Week 7:
Ok so now everything but those select foods makes mommy ACTUALLY throw up lol but it means your growing :). You now have a bassette now from Grandma/Grandpa Priest, and as soon as I seen it, I wanted time to go by faster so I could put you in it, and hold you. We made our first trip up to Cape Breton, and spent the weekend at Grandma/Grandpa Samsons.
Week 8:
Of course morning sickness continues, but thats ok. Even the daycare kids are getting used to it, and will explain to one another after I get sick that I'm "ok, thats just the baby growing" lol. My colds making my lymph nodes swell, and I have a UTI, but mommmy and daddys taking what I can take and making sure I stay away from meds I can't and trying to keep the two of us healthy as I can. I think my belly might be a little bigger this week, I'm going to start taking weekly photos of my tummy so we can watch you grow :)
Week 9:
We continue on with morning sickness, but I'm starting to just carry a bag around with me and go about my day anyway. We went to Truro with Ava and Rylin and I just shoved a bag in my pocket. Its starting to get nicer out, and we're spending more time outside. Booked our trip for Prince Edward Island in June, not the same campground we usually go too but it looks really nice. Can't wait for next year when you can come too. Me and your daddy also took a trip out in the boat, me and you caught our first through 10th trout of the season :).
Week 10:
So morning sickness is still there, but I'm starting to go a couple of days inbetween now without actually throwing up, so although I still feel sick to my stomach I'm actually getting sick less. Still having trouble eating though until the later afternoon, and I had to take a break from your vitamins for right now because they come right back up, but its getting better... I think. This week you were in the fishing derby with me and your daddy down in Cape Breton. Your father and me both caught a big trout each, and I managed not to even throw up the whole time we were out in the boat! woot! I told everyone we'd have you there with us next year.
Week 11:
Another week of morning sickness... but my actual throwing up is still getting spaced even more. I think I only actually got sick three times this week. I went over to the doctor to make sure I didn't have a UTI, and I'm waiting back for test results, BUT the doctor also asked how far along I was and said they should be able to feel you... and he DID! He felt around my tummy and felt where you are, he said your growing excaltly the way you're supposed to be :). It made both me and your father really happy to know you're growing nice and big like you're supposed too :) Me and your dad also went down to the beach with Jake, your first trip to the beach :) and since it was Victorcia Day weekend, we had a long weekend of beach, BBQ, bonfire, and relaxing. Can't wait for you to be here with us next Victorcia Day.
Week 12:
So the doctor gave me some tummy pills made just for pregnancy to help with the naeasous feeling, and I still feel sick. I'm starting to get worried you're going to turn mommy into one of those pregnant woman that go all 9 months feeling sick, but you're easily worth it. You had another trip out in the boat with me and your daddy, and we also took the daycare girls down fishing at Trenton Park. Your mother is starting to develop a tatse of spicey which I so don't normally have at all, so I'm completely blaming that the fact you're making me crave it, and you get it from your father. I also felt a little flutter on Friday at Trenton Park pond. It felt like a twitching muscle from the inside, and almost tickled a little. Your grandma Priest tells me that, thats how the baby moving starts, so it really might have been YOU! :)
Week 13:
Still suffering from Morning Sickness, the pills don't seem to be helping. I talked to the doctor and she told me its ok to take a break from your vitamin but still throwing up. I've felt that fluttery feeling a couple more times though. If thats you in there I can't wait until I feel it all the time! It makes me feel good to think you're moving around in there :). We bought a Doppler, we THINK we heard you on May 31st. We hope so :) We're going to take it to the doctors office on Tuesday and maybe she can help us confirm it was you. You're father bought me a beautiful Mothers Day Necklace that finally came in the mail. Its two parents with there arms wrapped around a baby. Just like our beautiful little family :) I LOVE it! :)
Week 14:
You were in another fishing derby this weekend. Yay, Garden of Eden Derby. We spent the night at the cottage, us, your father and Uncle J. There was only four big fish caught the whole derby, and we caught one! Fourth place :). My morning sickness was better then it had been all week at the cottage and out on the boat. I'm thinking you like outdoors more then anywhere else, because its the only time you don't make mommy want to throw up. Which means morning sickness is still there. Your cousin Amanda made up a bag of clothes for us if you're a little girl... if you're a little boy we're in trouble because your cousin Annie has a bag of clothes too, but all girl stuff. I read online some woman who have trouble taking there prenatal take Flintstone vitamins and the pharmacist tells me its totally safe, so I'm going to start taking those to try to get some vitamins in you, since I'm still throwing up all the time. Although bacon seems to sit good on my tummy, which although I like bacon normally that maybe counted as more of you taking after your father again haha. My lower backs really sore today too, but when I looked it up thats not uncommon in pregnancy so I'm going to try not to worry about it, and hope its not something thats here to stay like the morning sickness.
