6 weeks and Worried...

6 weeks and Worried... blog
It's so nice to be able to share worries with other people who can have the same issues. I'm 6 weeks pregnant, first pregnancy, and I'm 36. in Italy where I'm from after 35 you get extra care and you get an early scan to check for problems and blood tests to be done. Here in the UK I went on Wednesday to my surgery to be seen by a doctor only to be given two sheets of paper to fill out and an appointment booked with the midwife for the 30th of May. the midwife said that 36 year old is not dangerous in this country to have your first baby. I have a history of medical problems and I told her, I have an adenome (benign cancer) on my liver and the doctor who does my scans in Italy told me I need to have it checked during pregnancy, along with some blood tests extra. I hope everything will be OK. At the moment *fingers crossed* i haven't had issues, not even morning sickness. I am very, very bloated especially after meals and sometimes I feel like I was having my TOTM starting, with some (much lighter than during TOTM) cramps but i have read it's normal

is it possible, 6 weeks pregnant and no doctor visit, no blood test, no midwife to see me... has anybody had the same experience? Is it just me or it's not as good as it should be?

"thanks for your comment Maria! I hope that soon our agony will be over. I have my first appointment with the Midwife on wednesday (8 weeks 0 days) and I can't wait, but people told me that she's not going to be very helpful on this first appointment, which is quite upsetting. When is your first appointment?" -- GIULIA.CLIFFORD
"Hi there,

I just joyed this page because I need to have also a few things to understand and to share. I'm also 6 weeks pregnant, haven't seen any doctor and as well I was telling my frieds that I feel so frustrated about the fact that the doctor wont see me yet.
Apparently it's too early for them to bother, but I feel like I need to have some advise from a proper doctor. So I guess the only thing to do is to wait until our turn comes up ;)

So sorry to hear about your liver problem.. this ..." -- MARIA_BABYBELLY
