| 6 weeks and Worried... blog |
It's so nice to be able to share worries with other people who can have the same issues. I'm 6 weeks pregnant, first pregnancy, and I'm 36. in Italy where I'm from after 35 you get extra care and you get an early scan to check for problems and blood tests to be done. Here in the UK I went on Wednesday to my surgery to be seen by a doctor only to be given two sheets of paper to fill out and an appointment booked with the midwife for the 30th of May. the midwife said that 36 year old is not dangerous in this country to have your first baby. I have a history of medical problems and I told her, I have an adenome (benign cancer) on my liver and the doctor who does my scans in Italy told me I need to have it checked during pregnancy, along with some blood tests extra. I hope everything will be OK. At the moment *fingers crossed* i haven't had issues, not even morning sickness. I am very, very bloated especially after meals and sometimes I feel like I was having my TOTM starting, with some (much lighter than during TOTM) cramps but i have read it's normal
is it possible, 6 weeks pregnant and no doctor visit, no blood test, no midwife to see me... has anybody had the same experience? Is it just me or it's not as good as it should be?
