Our sweet girl turned 15 months old today. The poor baby had a very rough night sleeping last night. She had a fever, was gassy, and she couldn't get comfortable. Unfortunately, this mama only got about 1 hour of sleep. I have a feeling she is probably teething. Ava has 6 teeth now, and she loves to smile and show off those pearly whites. She continues to be a happy girl.
This week Ava started saying Mimi, and I'm sure my mom is pleased! Today I realized that she knows the motions to "When You're Happy and You Know It..." She has also started bringing me books to read to her. She really likes Sandra Bouyton books just like her sister. I can't believe how quickly she has transitioned from baby to toddler.
I just went back and read the 15 month post from Alayna, and I noticed she is doing many of the same things that her sister did. I didn't realize she knew the "so big" hand signal until we said it and she raised her arms to show us how big she is. Funny how you practice so many things with the first child, and you don't really realize when the second one picks everything up.
Ava is currently wearing size 4 diapers (although I think she'd still fit in size 3), size 3 and 4 shoes, and size 12 month clothes. She weighs about 20 lbs.
Ava continues to be a great eater. She especially loves fruit (peaches, pineapple and strawberries) this month. She is still breastfeeding, but I'm hoping to ween her sooner than later. She takes milk and water from a sippy cup, but she doesn't drink that much.
Ava definitely loves ride-on toys. She loves her rocking horse, her pedal cars, and riding in the wagon. When she wants off something and she can't do it herself, she will put her hands out for Alayna to lift her. Too cute how my two girls are playing together so much more these days. Alayna likes to take things away from Ava, so we are working on sharing A LOT.
We are still co-sleeping with Ava. I'm hoping to transition her to the baby bed soon.
