| Haven't been on in a while blog |
Well my baby girl was born with 3 seperate hear conditions, so my focus has been on hospital visits and pumping milk for her to have at the hosp. My diet hasn't been the best, as stress and worry have my sleeping scheduals completely messed up, along with having to pump ever 4 hours or so.
Trying to eat better, am taking my prenatals still, and drinking LOTS of water and juice.
Tomorrow am starting stretching exercizes ( I am only 4 weeks postpartum).
Leah has her swallow test on Thurs, to see if they can remove her feeding tube and start bottle/breast. Her first surgery went wonderfully, except for some swelling and irritation around the nerves that control vocal cords and swallowing. Her voice is slowly returning, she may never have the strength of voice she had at birth, but she will have one. In 6-8 months she will have another surgery, maybe 2, she has TGA (transposition of the greater arteries) and VSD (Ventrical Septal Defect), the surgery she had was to fix her IAA (Interupted Aortic Arch). Unfortunately with all this, my health has taken a back burner. But I have been reminded by my body sleeping through the 0600 alarm to pump, that I need to start taking care of me. So starting tomorrow. I will be making sure I eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wish us luck for Thus. If she can swallow and gain weight, she could be home soon. Thanks guys.
