 Ava turned 13 months a week ago, and she has been enjoying the beautiful weather and playing outdoors a lot. We had a very mild winter, so we spent a lot of time outside taking walks, going to the zoo, etc. The last few weeks have been gorgeous, and Ava has enjoyed wagon rides, stroller rides, and even short walks through our neighborhood and the local zoo. Ava rarely throws fits when we are out in public; she is a dream child to take places. I know this may change at an given moment, so I'm going to appreciate the ease of taking her places while it lasts!
Ava started drinking whole milk about 3 weeks ago. I try to give her a little in a sippy cup each morning. She is still bfing most of the time, but I want to get her used to whole milk too.
Ava has started stomping her feet when she wants something. Sometimes she does it when she's mad, other times she does it when she is impatient and just wants something.
We think we've heard her say dada a few times now, and she continues to say mama only when she's upset.
Ava is always trying to keep up with the big kids. When Alayna and her friends run into a room, Ava is always right behind them. When the are playing with toys, she is always right there in the thick of things. She doesn't mind being the small one around, and they can pretty much climb all over and around her and she doesn't mind....yet. Ava also likes to imitate Alayna. If Alayna is running around screaming, Ava will do the same. If Alayna is dancing, Ava will too.
Ava loves necklaces and scarves. She is always running around the house with something to "dress up" in. I have a feeling she will love to play dress up when she's a little older.
Watching my baby turn into a toddler has been bittersweet! I feel like she has grown up too quickly, but I love watching her learn and develop into her own little being!
