| Getting used to BabyFit blog |
I've been a bit intrigued by the BabyFit site. I see there is potentially a wealth of information, a support base with MommyTeams and ways to track all the good things I should be doing. I still find some things awkward and non-intuitive. So far I still feel a bit disconnected to the community here but I hope that will change before baby arrives(after is ok too). The Baby Points are a fun way to make users pursue information and reach out to the community here. I can't wait to try out a recipe or two! There are some settings I wish I had though, especially in the forums. It's so backwards to have to scroll all the way to the bottom of a thread to read the original post.
One thing that I'm getting interested in adding to my routine since discovering BabyFit is exercise. I haven't done much at all during my pregnancy and am curious if my body will put up with it. I get A LOT of Braxton-Hicks contractions and they are easily triggered by movement. I'll pick out a couple of the easy beginner activities and see if I can fill 10 minutes of my day. Back in October I signed up for a prenatal yoga class of which I attended 3 classes. The 3rd class had a different instructor and she put us through some unfamiliar paces leaving me with very aggravated back muscles. So instead of yoga I spent Tuesday afternoons visiting the chiropractor/reflexologist. From there it snowballed all some how all my Tuesdays seemed to be filled with other things like flat tires, migraines, and other odd emergencies. I returned in the new year and the yoga class had ended. So with that my potential for exercise came as well. Hopefully I can motivate myself and if not, the BabyFit site and those silly points might do the trick for now.
