We're getting an early start on potty training and it is going great!! We took out little one )14 months) to pick out a potty chair. She chose a duck one that sings and quacks when you pee. I started off on a Sat. morning so we had nothing to do and no one but the family at home. ( I take care of my 1 year old nephew during the week.) When she woke up I brought her in the bathroom and sat her down. She was so excited she just sat right down. She didn't do anything but sit which is great. We did that about every hour or so and after meals and naps. Every time she knocks on the bathroom door I bring her in. On day 2 she peed and I was so excited. As soon as the duck started singing she was clapping and laughing! We made a big deal about it and she wanted to sit on the potty every 15 min. Since then she consistently knocks on the door immediately after she pees in her diaper. She is definitely figuring out what its for. She pooped on there yesterday, less than a week later!! I am really excited, she is doing awesome!! By 2 I'm hoping she will be diaper free.
