Right now I am calling the baby, Baby Goulie, as its last name will be Goulstone. When my husband, Jim (44) and I (38) got engaged years ago, one of his friends joked about setting the wedding date and making some 'Little Baby Goulies" so here we are making our one and only Baby Goulie, coming soon (anticipated date: April 15, 2010).
On Thanksgiving we picked her name: Katelyn Grace.
My Pregnancy
Latest Due Date: April 15, 2010. We found out today (11/10/09) that baby is a baby...GIRL! :-) This is my husband's and my 1st and only child! I am currently 38 and he is 44!
My Program
Been eating very healthy and really watching what I eat. I don't want to end up with the gestational diabetes that I am prediposed to. I have been extremely limited on the exercise that I can do b/c I am a major high risk, my age, 3 prior miscarriages and I have seizures (which are controlled by medication). No, ahhhh, intimacy, shall we say, either which has *not* been an easy pill to swallow for me.
Personal Information
I am originally from Maryland right outside of our Nations Capital, Washington, DC. I currently live in Central Florida (1999). I am 38. My Hubby is from PA. He is 44. This is going to be our only planned baby due to finances and my high risk. If we can afford to adopt down the road, I could see that happening. We currently have a family of 4 (Us and our 2 fur baby boys, Godfree and Sparky). If you don't see me here find me on Facebook - Patricia Fletcher Goulstone.
Other Information
My choice Boy name: James Robert after his Father, Father's Father and technically his Father's Mother (her name is Bobbie).
My choice girl name: Layla Grace after her Mother's sister, Leah and her Father's sister, Darla. I kind of combined the names to come up with Layla (btw, neither of them have or will have children so I believe this will be a great way to honor both of these wonderful women! Grace will def. be her middle name b/c this is my 4th pregnancy and only by God's Grace will this little one grace us with her presence.
Hubby choice girl: Daffney. UGH! Conjours up ideas of Daffy Duck and Daffney from Scooby Doo, both cartoons, *not* good!
Tricia, Would you believe after all this time I just checked my babypage? I saw your comment and I feel like a jerk since I didn't respond.
Yes, my fiance is super excited. We only have 6 weeks left because I have a scheduled c-section on the 23rd of March. I can't wait. This is my 3rd pregnancy so it just seems to be dragging alot.
I think at this point in my life that it's better to be an older parent. My youngest were twins and I thought I would lose my mind and my 5 yr old I felt more in control and now I feel like a pro. I have tons more patience and life experience and so does my fiance. This is a very exciting time for all of us,
take care Cat

Its wonderful you are being there for your husband and your MIL in her time of need. I lost my father a little more than a year ago and I can tell you, no matter the relationship strains it is hell to lose a parent. It rocks your entire world in very real ways. Be gracious and loving and it will strengthen you both.
things continue to remain stable for me which is a true Blessing--

I'm so happy things are going a bit better for you!!! I am mostly just hanging out. I have weird dreams all the time about bleeding which tend to freak me out a little, but what are you gonna do?? LOL... I am (im)patiently waiting for my appt Weds to find out my MRI results and confirm whether this is placenta increata or the worse kind and get my surgical plan. Atleast then I know what I am looking at. Don't love the Heparin shots daily, but really that is not so bad. The surgical doc at the hospital told me I should NOT stay on strict bedrest b/c of my blood clotting disorder, just to stay on limited activity but I can move around the house 20 mins at a time, etc... That has made ALL the difference, and ofcourse I am more than happy to be home than in an hospital :). But really considering everything I feel quite good most of the time, just a little tired.
Keep me updated and enjoy your birthing classes, babies will be here before we know it!
