DS#1 - after a trouble-free pregnancy, I went into labour 5 weeks early, when my waters broke at home. Our baby boy was born after a totally unmedicated, short (2hours 7 minutes!) natural labour weighing 5lbs 7.5oz, and measuring 18.5 inches. We spent a little over a week in hospital but never needed the NICU. Since then he's been growing like a beanstalk, only cuter! Breastmilk is good stuff! His names mean "laughter" and "strong, firm".
DS#2 - my "snow-baby" - born at home, as planned, at 6.39am on 6th February 2009, 10 days early. 6lb 9oz, 19.25in long. Chunking up rapidly on mummy milk! Looks a lot like his big brother, I think, but has my fingernails and ears, instead of daddy's! His names mean "gift of God" and "manly, courageous and wise".
DS#3 - another unmedicated homebirth! Born at 5.15pm on 2nd June 2011, 12 days early. 6lb 7oz. Looks nothing like his brothers! His unusual names mean "doubly fruitful" and "abundant, excellent, pre-eminent".
DD - born at home all by ourselves (midwife didn't make it) at 9.20pm on 7th January 2013, 10 days early, weighing 6lb 10.5oz. "Heavenly" baby girl!
