I'm 22 and having my first child. My partner and I started trying to concieve and the first month we tried, IT WORKED! I'll never forget the ten-day wait until we found out... I started "feeling pregnant" almost a week after the insemination, (sore breasts, increased appetite, increased sense of smell, etc.). I was sure though, that it was just "wishful thinking" as everything I had read told me that even the earliest signs of pregnancy don't typically start until around 4 weeks or so. But sure enough, the little blue plus sign appeared on the test within the first minute!
About two days after my postive HPT I had a scare and went to the ER to make sure everything was okay. They confirmed I was in fact pregnant (5 weeks) and did some test to make sure the baby and me were okay. We were and are, so now it's lots of rest and lots of reading! (I'm not one for "resting" so my partner is always having to remind me to take it easy!)
The estimated due date is April 11, 2009. We haven't decided whether the baby's gender is something we want to know or be surprised by but I'm thinking we are going to HAVE to ask because we are already so excited to find out.
We are so very happy and excited to welcome our baby into this world and love him/her with all we have!
We send congratulations out to all you expecting mothers-to-be and baby-dust to all those who are TTC!
