When my husband and I were getting married, we decided to wait to have a baby, and the deadline was to be my 27th birthday. Back then it seemed like we had all the time in the world to grow up and prepare for a baby. Of course we didn't account for the crisis and many other things in those coming years, so now, 6 years down the road, we still aren't quite ready, but we're having a baby anyways.
Throughout my pregnancy I was a full-time engineering student, a president of 2 college clubs, a volunteer, and a part time math/science tutor. I tried to eat healthy, but I didn't have a whole lot of time to cook or plan my meals. The result is, I'm 50 pounds heavier than I should be.
I have been struggling with food my whole life, and now that I'm pregnant, it got out of control. I gained much more than I had to and that makes me feel like a failure. Not exactly the best feeling right before having a baby... I don't recognize my face and my body in the pictures, and I really want to be "the old me" - pretty and fit.
our 1st baby:
- due September 10th, 2012
- it's a girl!
I am a math/science tutor, and an engineering student. I'm taking a break (no work, less classes) during a first year with our daughter, so she could have my undivided attention when most needed.
I LOVE math & physics, singing, and travelling.
