Vitamin B-12 May Prevent Birth Defects
Women of childbearing age (especially those who are pregnant or trying to conceive) are advised to eat 400 mg of folic acid (folate) daily to prevent neural tube defects, such as spina bifida, from occurring in their babies. New research shows that vitamin B12 may also play a role.
Latest fav thing. I asked ds "do you like milk? His response "ya, juicy"

I love so many things about it - that it doesn't cost money and its the best thing for baby - Can't beat that.
I love that the milk is there whenever I need to feed baby.
I love her morning nursing sessions, when she really just wants to play and see everyone, she'll nurse for a second and then look around and smile - where's her brother? Mom are you looking at me, smile, you are looking at me - I love you, okay I'll eat a little more. gulp gulp -pause- whats that? was that brother? is he coming in here? I want to see him.
She really has no interest in eating in the mornings, but she does and takes lots of smile breaks in between and it so freaking cute.

the look of adoration while he's nursing
and what Twinkee said...
I also like the fact that I can never "run out" of food for him while we're out. Diapers maybe, but never food. And I'm getting more comfortable about nursing him in public (with a cover)...although its still easier while in the backseat of my car, because its a soft place to sit while he eats!

I've been having a little BF burn out lately but today i was reminded of something i like about it... LO is difficult to get down for a nap, so when I'm desperate for rest for both of us, I just swaddle her, put her on her side, and nurse her to sleep! BAM, mommy/baby naptime :)
I love so many of the same things you all have already posted! The milk drunk look after nursing with milk dribbling out of his little mouth, when he smiles while nursing and then realizes he's still nursing and suckles again quickly, having an excuse to snuggle multiple times a day! Knowing I am doing what is best for my baby.
Nursing is one of my favorite things about being a mom.

I love that even when he is sick, he can drink my milk and not throw up.
Lo was sick this weekend, was even throwing up water, but could nurse without any issue. Breast milk is magical stuff

My favorite thing about nursing is that a few times a day, I have the perfect excuse to lie down with my baby, cuddle and enjoy the blissful effects of oxytocin flooding my body, while either napping or daydreaming. It's not just me-and-baby time, it's my time as well. :)

It drove me nuts at times the first month or two that it would take her so long to nurse but now I miss it sometimes cuz that was guaranteed time for me to watch a movie/read/go on the internet. Now she's so speedy!
I like that it's free and so very good for her. I like that I don't have to prep bottles at night and can feed her in bed. I like pumping at work b/c it gives me a break and time to read a book :) I still think I will be happy to wean at a year which is my plan b/c sometimes it stresses me to nurse or make sure I pump so I can go somewhere without her but I do know there is something very special about nursing her.
