Oh my goodness, Nathan walked to me from half way across the living room last night! He usually only walks to get to his only motivation (Hotwheels cars). My hubby encouraged him to "get the momma!" ...and he did! I'm overjoyed still because since last night he's got the confidence too walk to other objects now.

I have late walkers, my oldest cruised and speed-crawled for AGES but didn't take his first unaided steps until 21 months. We were beginning to worry!
My 2nd and 3rd both took their first steps around 17 months. I was a lot less worried.
This LO, I will be quite happy if she stis on her bottom until she is 3! One less kid to chase around! (joke)

My oldest was 11 months and my new little guy is about to take off any day now. He'll also be about 11mo. I'm so not ready to redecorate the house quite yet!

Very exciting! DD was 13 months and DS was 9 months. Since DD was a lazy lump - we were not ready for a 9 month old walker! You're entering a whole new stage now - so much fun!

My son was 10 and a half months - he didn't talk until he was 2, daughter a little over 11mo and she has always been a great talker. I thought for sure you couldn't be advanced in both - but my daughter has certainly proved me wrong. My 2yr old started climbing a rock climbing wall - with a slant a few months ago and a ladder around 18mo. This early physical motor skills thing can be very scary!

Both of my kids were right around 10 months as well. That was the start of my favorite age.

When did you children take there first steps???
My daughter just turned 10 months and took her first steps this week! She is up to 6 steps on her own. I love watching her concentrate and figure out how to move her legs. She looks so proud of herself when she does. She can also stand from a sitting position without support! She gets really excited and bounces up and down... I love this age.
