"Homemade juice would NOT be advised during pregnancy because it is unpasteurized and the risk of harmful bacteria that could put you and your baby at risk." -- TANYA_BABYFIT - 2/15/2012 8:34:14 AM
"What about home made bottled grape juice? Anyone know how that ranks nutritionally? Ya know pick the grapes off the vine steam them in a juicer then bottle the grape juice (Grandma's generation). It tastes so good and I know what is in the juice." -- JOLNOMORE - 2/14/2012 10:52:38 PM
"I see your point, i always dilute Reevs jucie....But comparing juice to cola is ridiculous. The main reason i would never give cola to my childern is because of the caffine.. Which is a drug..You should be more careful about what you use in your articles. Comparing fruit juice to drugs doesnt really stand" -- MUMMA82 - 2/14/2010 1:46:45 AM
"My husband usually drinks whey protien in milk or water.. and calls it his "muscle milk or muscle water"..Which makes my 2 1/2 year old drink regular milk(skim) and water like crazy when we go out to restraunts which isnt very often we let him order whatever he wants to eat and drink and he seems to shock most when he asks for "muscle water" to drink and a salad to eat..Toddlers are so into mimicking its easy for you to get them to make healthy choices if they see you make them first." -- APR18MUM - 12/26/2009 2:28:22 PM
"I have a 21 month old son. I am very grateful that he loves drinking water as if it were juice! I myself have to force myself to drink it. It's so tasteless. I give my son 2 sippy cups of milk in the morning then water until lunch which then I give him 1 sippy cup of diluted juice. Then I continue wit the water until dinner where its 1 more sippy cup of diluted juice then its water and 1 sippy cup of milk before bed!!" -- JACK4LYN - 11/5/2009 12:32:40 PM
"I like having a bottle of good juice on hand. For us it lasts about 3 weeks to a month and sometimes longer because I only give my daughter a few ounces at a time and that usually lasts a couple of days. I also don't give it to her everyday. I like water but for me it gets boring every so often so juice is a good treat." -- OKSANA313 - 11/5/2009 12:08:38 PM
"my son has become addicted to yogurt juice. while i like that it combines both yogurt and fruit juice, it has become a battle in our home that is difficult to fight. He is 20 months old and we have a six week old baby. We have substituted with other beverages, including having water available to him and offer him milk, however he is intent on having his juice." -- CRJEFFREY - 11/5/2009 8:23:46 AM
"No one in my house drinks juice and I don't intend on letting my child drink it either...whole fruits and veggies all the way!" -- ZORBS13 - 8/27/2009 5:07:38 AM
"I like to make 100% juice popsicles. That way the juice is definitely a treat, but a healthy one." -- TYSAJAYNE - 7/16/2009 1:23:49 PM
"Use your blender to make your own juice because it retains all the fiber. I blend fresh or frozen strawberries, pineapple and lemon to make a lemonade and my daughter loves it." -- NACHIPMUNKS - 6/9/2009 9:08:11 PM
"It's scary to me that parents need an article like this-shouldn't they ALREADY be reading labes and monitering sweet?" -- SKULLMONKEY - 6/9/2009 3:03:43 PM
"I'm glad you put the facts out there. Most juices are just sugar and artifical coloring and flavoring." -- MAGGIEB83 - 6/9/2009 1:42:42 PM
