"You might be able to find out more information at the Interactive Medicare website." -- TANYA_BABYFIT - 3/22/2012 9:48:09 AM
"I was wondering if they accept Medicare? If anyone know please send me a message thank you -Brittany" -- SHAUNSBABYMOMMA - 3/22/2012 12:06:21 AM
"I had a doula for the birth of my second baby. It was my first vaginal delivery, a VBAC, and I don't think I could have done it without her! Because of her I felt more confident going into my second vaginal birth 6 years later. I highly recommend doulas to all women..." -- MOTHERSGROUP - 11/2/2009 6:02:20 PM
"I was nervous about the delivery of my first child. I was hoping for a natural childbirth, but was concerned about my abilities to overcome the pain and anxious abuot the possibility of something going wrong. My husband and I hired a doula and she was fabulous. She came to our house during early labor and helped me cope with contractions as we walked around the neighborhood. She was great at helping my husband know how to help me. At the hospital, she really helped me to listen to my body and labor the way I needed to. Our son was born naturally and I have such fond memories of my birth experience. I think our doula was a big part of that. We are now expecting #2 and have invited our doula to work with us once more. She is thrilled and so are we." -- BOONEMAMA - 11/2/2009 1:45:31 PM
"My Doula was an angel sent from heavensheartbeat, my husband was unable to take part in delivery #4 and this was my first Doula experience, she gave me guidance and comforted me in such a way that I was able to delivery our daughter within 3 1/2 hours of my hospital arrival 100 % natural delivery...all it took was someone with patience understanding and being able to help me access the ammenities that the hospital had in the birthing unit--the jacuzzi was a big help but I will never have enough good things to say about having a doula" -- TRACEYTESKEY - 11/2/2009 10:08:47 AM
"As a Doula, I am so thankful for your article on this topic. Another great organization is CAPPA (that is the organization I happen to work under). I just found out that I am pregnant with #2 and I will definitely be hiring a doula this time!!" -- K_SPENCE - 11/8/2008 10:42:35 PM
"For the birth of my son, my doula was invaluable! She helped me with anything and everything I needed and kept me focused so that I could have the birthing experience I had planned and prepared for, even when a few complications got in the way. Had it not been for her help and such a fabulous midwife, my delivery could easily have gone from the calm hypnobirthing it was to a c-section--something I was desperately trying to avoid!" -- CARLYJANELL - 10/22/2008 4:58:52 AM
"Doulas are awesome and totally worth every penny! It's like having an extra cheerleader when your in labor. You can NEVER have too many of those! My doula never took a break during the 12 hours that I was in labor and was with me the whole time and then some!! She even massaged my foot that kept cramping up. And my feet are gross!!" -- MEGGS209 - 1/16/2008 7:55:21 PM
"Thanks Lisa some really interesting statistics. I am first time 36 year old mother to be in first trimester. My partner and I are blessed with a beautiful local doula whom we have known for some years. I loved her book and am looking forward to working with her and doing her aquaerobics sessions. There is no one I would prefer at my birth more than this wise woman and my loving, creative and intuitive partner of ten years!" -- CARO71 - 12/2/2007 9:32:14 AM
