"I was a very avid runner, I ran a half marathon just before I got pregnant. During the first trimester I was able to still run (I took it down to 3 or 4 miles when I would run), in my 2nd trimester I found it more difficult. The last time I ran was about a month or so ago and I had some pain in my abdomen, I took that as a sign to maybe stop for a while. Now with the weather being so nice, all I want to do is go out for a run! I plan on returning to running once I have the baby, I can't wait!" -- ANNADIVA - 6/8/2009 9:14:57 AM
"My 08 goals include running a 10K distance. It is not easy, but I find running is one of the most convenient exercise, being a mother with young children. The challenge is hard, but it feels good to push myself. I try to use my fitness goals as a way to encourage my children to preserve through the challenges you face in life.
"This is a great motivational article for seasoned runners AND rookie runners - I know, because I'm a rookie and my first race is in two months! But my DH and I are also TTC, and I'm not going to stop running just because I'm trying to get pregnant or when I do become pregnant. I'll read this article again after I've had a baby - it will get me back into my running shoes! :)" -- CREAMPUFFMOMMY - 3/10/2007 10:32:25 AM
"It's a fine article, but hard to see the relevance for those of us who are expecting--I'm hardly going to take up racing in my second trimester, and those women who were training before pregnancy and might go ahead with planned races already know this stuff." -- IZZY_M - 11/29/2005 6:40:40 AM
