"I was put on light bedrest because my first son was premature (35 weeks) He's healthy as ever, but as a precaution my doctor told me to go on light bed rest. I have been sneaking in exercise wherever i can. I was doing a slow 30 mins on a recumbent bike and lifting some 3lb. weights but I had to stop since my belly has gotten too big. I have been swimming and since I live in AZ it is quite easy since it's very hot! I also go walk for at least 30 mins. I don't overdo it. I walk slow. I figure any exercise is better than none. I have been doing this the whole pregnancy. I'm just about 32 weeks and have been okay so far. I just go very slow. In the pool, i have used the steps to do arm dips/push ups since the water is supporting my body. I have also had massive heartburn so this has cut down on the greasy, sugary nasty foods I shouldn't eat. Good luck!" -- JUJUBEE2579 - 7/20/2012 3:43:08 PM

"I am so excited. I've been keeping up with my workouts, the past 2 weeks I have been tired and really hungry. But I am going to push myself next week to workout again. The baby moves all the time, I cannot wait to meet him!" -- BREENE13 - 6/4/2010 8:27:01 PM

"After finishing fitness and nutrition school, I find myself using more misc, equipment than anything else. The work out you can get with a set of dumbbells, bands, stab ball, and medicine ball are amazing. Just make sure to mix it up like the article said, otherwise your body will adapt, and you will not be seeing those excellent results you are looking for as quickly as you should!! At 32 weeks it is getting harder, but I love a challenge:)" -- SBRUSH - 7/6/2009 12:52:09 PM

"Thank you for this very informative article. I am also a registered physical therapist in my country of origin and in-knowing of these exercises but I guess, being anxious with my first pregnancy and still with work, I only get to exercise when I am free. This is such a great reminder! It is indeed very important to keep fit both for us, mothers and for our babies--and of course to get us back to our original form after the delivery!" -- KEITHLYN - 5/22/2006 9:02:48 AM

"I loved this article since St Louis is too cold in the winter to be going out to the gym. This gives me the ability to continue exercising even if i can't get to the gym." -- TROJANHORSEY - 12/8/2005 4:30:25 PM
