I am having a lot of constipation. Is there anything I can do to help with constipation? |

Constipation can occur during pregnancy for a variety of reasons, such as hormonal changes and increased iron intake from pre-natal vitamins. Here Some To reduce constipation: 1) Exercise regularly to increase circulation to simulate the digestive process and increase motility. 2) Include complex carbohydrates such as whole grain breads, cereals and pasta. 3) Select fresh fruits and vegetables as well as dried fruits like prunes, raisins or craisins. 4) Include beans and legumes as fiber containing protein alternatives. 5) Be sure to drink lots of water to accommodate your increased fiber intake. 6) Speak with your physician about stool softening agents or fiber supplements.
