At what point do I need to increase my caloric intake by 300 or so calories per day? I don't feel any hungrier than normal now but I am only a few weeks pregnant. |

Energy requirements are only slightly increased during the first trimester. The recommended daily allowance (RDA) for calories during the second and third trimesters is 300 additional calories or about a 15% increase over non-pregnancy requirements.
