The #12 City for Healthy Pregnancies in 2005

Anchorage, Alaska is the twelfth healthiest city for pregnancy according to BabyFit.com’s list of Top 100 Cities for Healthy Pregnancies.

Anchorage placed in the top forty for more than three healthy pregnancy indicators categories including the largest percentage of babies at a healthy birth weight, the smallest percentage of women with pregnancy related hypertension and the smallest percentage of women with pregnancy related diabetes.

This is not the first time Anchorage has been honored. Among its numerous honors, in 2002 Anchorage was given the distinction of being an “All-American City,” an award they’ve received on three previous occasions.
