I love Pampers, either the swaddlers or the babydry, they work great on Charlie. I gave huggies a shot and didn't like them at all! Never had a leak or anything with the Pampers; Huggies leaked ALL OVER him.

LOL, I feel the opposite way.. I HATED Luvs but really like Huggies! Just try different brands until you find one you like. :) Every baby is different.

Pampers here! I tried Huggies and they leaked ALL the time!!!! I used Pampers with my daughter also. The only reason I tried Huggies was b/c people gave them to me at my baby shower, otherwise I wouldn't have even tried them.

Yet another Pampers Swaddlers fan, here. Used them with my first son and now with my second. Make sure the wee-wee is pointing down. If not they seem to wet throw everything.
Hugs,
Nicole

Cherubf,
i agree Huggies do suck !! As expensive as they are you would think they are better at preventing leaks, but not at all the truth.
I don't have any boys, but Luvs and Pampers have worked best for my girls.

I have a newborn (9 days) and I've been using Huggies - and I HATE them. They leak no end! The final straw happened about 15 minutes ago - I had him on my lap and he pooped and not only did he leak, but it went all over my leg and the floor. When I took the diaper off, what he had done really wasn't that much (I guess most of it had ended up on me and the floor and in his onesie!) I posted a thread yesterday on a couple of boards to say I was having problems with leaking - and they all said that Huggies have a reputation for leaks particularly for boys (I have a boy). They also said all babies bottoms are different and what works for one may not work for another. I realise there will be people who are happy with Huggies but I was surprised that almost everyone who responded to my post (about 25 people) said they hated huggies because they leak.

I use huggies and have had no problems until just recently b/c he is too big for the 1's, but I have about 30 left and am trying to use them up before going to 2's.

I would definitely say it all depends on how big your son is. My daughter was soooo tiny that Huggies was the only thing that she didn't leak out of (the newborn diapers by them seem to fit "skinnier" babies) At the age of 2 my daughter still wore a size 2 diaper 3s fell off...so, I would test them out and pay attention to leakage and of course skin reaction.

I also like pampers better to. My daughter used pampers because she leaked through huggies so this time around I plan to use pampers also!

I like the pampers because they are softer on his skin. The Huggies left him so creased and wrinkly it looked painful. I tried the Sams Club brand and he got an awful rash so I'm sticking with Pampers.

My son leaked out of his pampers. I use Huggies or Huggie Supreme. I like the huggie supreme better they are more stretchier and seem to hold more. They do leak sometime when his poo his very liquid, but that's with any diaper.

we liked pampers for newborns because it fit our son better (he was 7 1/2 pounds at birth) and the huggies seem to be a little too big and he's leaked quite a few times with huggies already. so i'd have to say, pampers swaddlers!

when hayden was first born he would leak out of the pampers swaddlers all the time so i switched to huggies. then pampers were on sale last week and i purchased a case of them and i hate the artificial baby powder smell they give off. i rather smell the real thing.

Hello,

I used Pampers or the Costco brand. Both worked well on my boys.
