I just prop up my LOs head and it stops. It really freaked me out the first couple of times it happened, but my MIL who is an OB nurse said it happens and there is nothing to worry about!

This happened a couple of times when my baby was very young - I'm assuming your baby is young (i.e. under 3 months). I told my pediatrician and he said it's because their passages are so close together that it sometimes happens. I guess just speak to your doctor next time you see him/her.

Not uncommon if your milk is coming out really fast and they are having trouble swallowing fast enough. Might want to either lay down so the rate slows a bit and they can keep up or sit baby up at an increased angle to swallowing is easier and gravity is helping. Tanya
As parents you establish the teaching, training and expectations for your child in the first 7 years of their life. After that you live out what you set up.

Has anyone ever had the problem of milk coming out of their baby's nose while breastfeeding? It used to happen occasionally during the morning feeding, but now it happens more often and seems to be getting worse. I am wondering if there is anything I can do about it that I have not already tried.
