145 at 20 weeks - didn't hear it though seeing how that was determined on the ultrasound.

Looking forward to hearing it again in a couple of weeks.

My youngest weaned at 31 months. (I was pregnant, so didn't mind. But when I lost the baby, I was really upset.) I homeschool, use natural products, cosleep, cloth diapers, wear my baby, attachment parent, don't vaccinate, and love God, my husband of over 19 years, and my kids!

no, don't be worried at all...i used to be a labor and delivery nurse and normal fetal heart rate can be anywhere from 110-170 without concern, somebabies can be healthy and have a baseline heartbeat of 100.

All of your HRs were pretty high up there that it's getting me kinda worried. I went in for my level2 u/s at 19wks 4days and the tech told me the HR was 120. He did mention that it was good, but everybody else's seems to be above 140!! Should I be worried???

At 15 weeks it was 150...last week at 20 weeks it was 148. I don't believe you can tell the difference between the sexes by the heart rate. The saying is that girls have a higher heart rate but many of my friends had boys who's heart rate was 160.

From the first time we heard the baby's heartbeat at 10wks it's been 155 and up. Last appt 2 weeks ago the heartbeat was about 160. Is it true that girls have faster heartbeats? =) We didn't find out the sex of the baby during our Level II ultrasound. We're keeping it a surprise.

At 12 weeks the HR was 170, at 16.5 weeks, the HR was 160. My ultrasound is on FRIDAY!!!

My doc said the only time she finds that the HR is a predictor is if it is really low, like 120. She said those are usually boys.

At my visit last week, almost 16 weeks, the baby's heartbeat was 148. I was so glad to finally hear it!!!
I've not found the heartbeat to help with guessing gender. With my last one, the midwife kept saying "he" because of the heartbeat during the whole pregnancy. However, she is definitely a girl:) It's fun to guess, though!

at 8w6d it was 163, at 12 weeks I was at 140, and at 18w4d it was about 140. My midwife said that heartrate can somewhat indicate a baby's sex, but not until the very end of the pregnancy.

At 18 weeks, the heartbeats were 143 and 146. One baby is definitely a boy the other they weren't sure. I have a feeling they are both boys. I was hoping for the boy/girl set, but will take healthy babies of any kind.

hi
mine was 148bp/m at 16wks and 6 days which is much lower than it was at 12 weeks which was 180bp/m. i hope that the tale about heartbeats is not true because if it is then it is another boy and i was so hoping for a girl this time.

but come to think of it i would appreciate a healthy normal baby be it boy or girl.

My baby's heartbeat at 18weeks and 3 days was 154 beats per minute. I am having a boy so I don't believe in the old wives tale that the heartrate can determine the gender of your baby.

The baby's heartbeat was 143 beats/min. and I was 18 1/2 weeks along. My doctor said that the baby's heartbeat is at its peak by week 12 and then gets slower. The second time I heard it, it was much slower than my appointment at week 11. It was comforting to know that is how it was supposed to be.

Health and happiness,

Shawn and baby Kate

At my last visit (which I was 16 weeks), the heart beat was 150. At 14 weeks, it was 151. This is my 3rd baby, my other 2 were boys and they were in the 140's.... maybe I am finally getting my girl, and maybe you have a little boy on the way? My next apt. isn't until I'm 24 weeks. So I will know by then what the sex is providing the little one cooperates.
