The funny thing about Abigail is when we did try big girl panties, she peed right in them. So I don't think she understands the difference between panties and diapers quite yet. She knows they have a different name, but I don't think she understands that they work differently. So I'll just let her go naked for a while longer until she really figures out how it feels when she needs to pee. The other problem is she can't get her pants or shorts off herself. So that would be really hard for her too. Once the weather gets warmer, I'll keep her in skirts and dresses so it'll be easier.

Maryjo- How does she do in underwear or have you tried that yet? I would say if she is doing so well when she is naked then she is probably ready and can do it if she sets her mind to it or if you can motivate her... Potty training is not something I love about parenting. I am so excited though because Treyton has been dry 5 nights in a row now and that is even better than his older siblings. I will have them checked out by the doctor soon and then I will start using the alarm they have for bedwetting probably. I hope Abigail's booboo isn't too bad from falling down the stairs. I hope it heals quickly. Treyton gets all excited when he talks to people about the computer and pottying. He will say "I dry puwup, play it gamer." Gamer is computer. It is so funny he says it that way, but that is definitely what he is trying to say.

Hey Jessica! So glad to hear from you. I think Rose is on the same patter as Abigail. We shall see how she does over the next few days.

Hey look who's back!! Glad to hear from you! I can't believe Sean is almost a year old already. wow how time flies. Not much new going on here!

Abigail loves to touch Daddy's "paputer" thankfully he doesn't care.

She took a digger down the wooden stairs this afternoon and now has a big egg above her left eye. She held the ice pack on it for quite a while though, so I think it'll be getting better soon. She's really good about using the bean bag ice pack. She likes it.

She loves having Janelle here! She gets so excited when she sees her in the morning. Baby's here Baby's here she yells.

She's not potty trained yet, but pees in it pretty often. If she's naked, she'll grab herself and say "I need to pee" and run to her potty. If she's got a diaper on, she'll just pee in it. Little Punk!

Betsy - that's the one my younger sis got for her Godson. He's 4 and loves it! We took Abigail over there to play with it and she had NO interest in it at all, so I'm glad we didn't spend all that money! I'm so glad Reilly loves hers!

Betsy,

Which kitchen did your MIL get for Reilly? I am still shopping around for a kitchen to get for Rowan.

My good friend and her two boys are coming in to town today to celebrate Rowan's birthday tomorrow. Since we are not having a party for Rowan this year my friend's oldest son Ethan (9yrs) was like, mom...Rowan needs her friends there on her birthday!! It was so cute. He is such a thoughtful child!!! I am looking forward to getting some baby love too. Her youngest is almost 4 months old and is huge! He looks like a 7 month old and has two teeth already. So I am excited.

Welcome Back Stephanie!!

Hi Stephanie! I remember you. Didn't you used to live next to your relatives?

Summer- Is till remember you. I love the pictures of your munchkin! She is adorable.

Gillian- No way would I get an animal right now! I love animals, but I know I would end up doing most of the work with DH's schedule and my oldest is 6. I would be overwhelmed if we had a new pet too.

Betsy- I am sorry the ice cream cone cupcakes were such a pain. I made some a few years ago for Ethan's birthday and let the kids decorate them with frosting and sprinkles. It was very laid back though. It was just my kids and a friend of mine and her kids. It sounds like Reilly really made out this year. I am so glad we had a small party for that reason. We just don't have the room for much right now.

Jesica- It is good to see you on once in a while. I don't get on much just like you. I am just to tired or busy. I have a question for you about your steamer though. I was wondering what sort of stuff you cook and if you wouldn't mind sharing some of your favorite recipes that you use.

I know this is crazy and probably tmi but I am really sad that Sean is starting to have regular poopies (not just breast milk poop anymore). I am having a really hard time with all of his milestones because he is our last.

Hi Summer! I remember you. I was just thinking about Ireland a few days ago and looking to see if you had a babypage for her. Funny how that happens, huh? How are you? What are you up to? How's that beautiful girl doing? Do you have some new pics?

Stef - Steve talked about taking an OTR (over the road) job right after he was let go a little over a year ago. We were devistated when the jerk boss just let him go for no good reason and it left us without any income at all. OTR paid well, but not well enough to keep him away from us. He just couldn't do it. I think there are times when I wish he would be gone for a few days at a time when he gets on my nerves, but I don't know how I'd handle it if I had to. Abigail and I just go spend a few days/nights at my mom's house when I need a break. We were just there for about 3 nights, 4 days this week because we were both sick.

You both need to set up a babypage! I want to see pictures!!!

Welcome Back Stef! Sounds like you have quite a hectic schedule. The must have been really hard on all of you. I can only imagine how it must have felt to be away from my husband for that much time, especially while pregnant and caring for a toddler. What kind of work does he do? My husband drives a tractor trailor truck, but he's home every night. I don't know how I would cope with him being gone for 2 weeks at a time. You're one strong Momma! I love the picture you have up!

Thanks maryjof, it nice to see that someone remembers me! haha.

There had been just too much going on for me to keep in touch. between having dialup and my son unplugging the cord everytime i was online, to getting pregnant again with baby #2 just as DH started working at the other end of the country (for the whole duration of the pregnancy, we saw him twice and then he made it home for Arianne's birth) and then we moved across country to be with him when Arianne was 1 1/2 months old. Ashton was pretty traumatised by the move and the first 4 months were ablsolute hell with bedtime. And he's just a busy bee to begin with...but now things are back to normal. As normal as they can be i guess with a 7 month old and a 2 year old. The thing is, is that even after all that move, DH still works 3 hours away from home, for 14 days at a time! LOL At least were in the same province now and he's home every 2 weeks. I dont know how i do it sometimes, but i seem to be surviving through it all :=)

Hello everyone, it's been so long since i've been here, there's probably not alot of you who remember me. but i wanted to say hi.

Gosh i missed this place and you guys. I recognised a few names from when i used to come and chat. I now have cable internet and i didnt think in a million years that my login would still work since it's been over a year since i've used it.

Anyways, i didnt mean to messup the conversation that was already going on, but i just wanted to say hi, now that i'll be able to come back on a regular basis.

Your kids are all so adorable, BTW!

Jessica,
I feel your pain. It never seems to end, I could sleep at 8pm, but there is too much to do once the kids are all asleep. I want this one to stay inside as long as possible since I can't imagine what I will do with 4. We also got a puppy... yes I am crazy, but most of the work has been done by my DH and DS... I am quite surprised at that. He is housebroken now, which helps a bunch. I'm so glad it only took 2 weeks to do.

Ok, so the ice cream cone cupcakes were a total NIGHTMARE, but ended up cute. I put them in muffin tins to cook, and when I opened the oven to stick the toothpick in the test them, they all fell over and started to pour out. Once they were done, I put them in a box and frosted them and decorated them. I got them to the party just fine, but the girl who was running the party stood them up on a plate and they all fell down. One even fell down when the candle was lit IN it and almost lit the table cloth on fire. UGH. Oh well, it all worked out. All the kids ate them and enjoyed them, that's all that counts.

Reilly had an awesome time at her parties. It was definitely a long weekend though. She made out with all her gifts it was unbelievable. My MIL bought her a kitchen set that is nicer then my own kitchen. I didn't even know they made one like it. She loves playing with it and making us food. She also got puzzles, books, baby dolls, tea set, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, dressup stuff, clothes, and these really neat cardboard huge blocks which she loves making houses out of.

For Thanksgiving we are going to MIL's (which takes about 2 hours) Wed evening until Friday at naptime. Then we go to my parents, which is about 5 hours, from Friday until Sunday. The traveling is just awful, but that is what we have to do for family. Atleast everyone comes to us for Christmas. I do love the holidays, but the traveling really gets to me. I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!!

Nice to see this thread in the first page again :)

Jessica, it is nice to hear from you. I completely understand you being exhausted with your life since I feel very tired and I only have two.

Maryjo - that cake is SO cute! Congratulations!!! I wish I still could connect at night and chat but some days I'm already sleeping at 10 so I can have a couple of hours, Franco's night are a nightmare, I'm not sure I can deal with that longer, once he is six months, I don't care if he wakes everybody up, he HAS to sleep!

Need to feed Franco, the story of my life :)

Have a great Thanksgiving!

I just don't seem to get on as much anymore..... I am up now at midnight......letting Sean cry for a little bit. He is keeping me up a lot at night still. He is 5 months and up every couple of hours. Sometimes he will sleep 4 straight right at first, but not very often. I am trying to take care of 4 kids all day as well as continuing the unpacking and cleaning and then up a bunch at night. I am exhausted!!!

maybe try an empty egg carton w/the bottom cut so the cones can stick in the bottom where the egg goes?

Stacy - I was thinking the same thing! That way she can stick the cones in it and they will sort of hang there. Something like a shoe box that isn't too deep, but a stronger cardboard. A clothing shirt box is bigger, but too soft.

Not that I have ever done this before...but, maybe you can get a box and cut holes in the bottom, turn it upside down and put them in there. So then you can just carry the box???

I'm prolly not explaining myself well.

Oh poor Rei!! Donuts for dinner? YUK! The icing is always dairy free because even the recipe from Wilton uses crisco. The unflavored pure white one. The recipe also says you can use milk or water, and suggest water because you can leave it out and not have to worry about refrigerating it. It tastes AWESOME!!! I use vanilla extract, butter flavor, and a little almond extract. They're all clear, so they don't change the color of the icing. I used maple in it once but it tinted it tan. Not good if you want to color it.

I am making ice cream cone cupcakes for Reilly's party. I got Mickey Mouse sprinkles and Mickey Mouse picks to put in the cupcakes. I am just going to frost them white and sprinkle the sprinkles on. Nothing crazy, but I am definitely not an artist, so that will be enough for me!! LOL!!

I love decorating cakes but I am always so picky about it. If I mess up I get so mad LOL I havent really perfected piping yet. I am self taught. I guess I should prob get my butt down to Michaels and take some classes so my cakes come out better haha
I am a glutten for punishment though, I am making Emily her barn/farm cake. She loves animals and my grandparents have a farm(which she LOVES)It will be a regular sheet cake(covered in green icing)with a red frosted barn(made from rice crispies that I will mold into the barn) and little people animals(or other figurines I buy at the store that she can keep. I found my idea on the wiltons cake site and am excited to make it. I will post pictures too. Just dont laugh at it because it will MOST LIKELY be uneven! haha How do you get a cake to be even and flat? Mine are NEVER even or flat.

Maryjo, your cake looked beautiful. You should be proud. Even if you want to ban icing stars forever. :)

I'm lucky b/c my mom makes cakes too, and it saves a bunch of money! lol. I'm getting ready to post a picture of amaya with her birthday cake...she wanted a purple cake and got one that had grapes on it, really cute, i'll post that picture too!

Kim - Yup, the cake is full of little icing stars. It's a special tip that you put on a decorator's bag. I had to have a seperate bag for each different color icing and enough tips so I didn't have to clean each one when I had to change it. It took FOREVER!!!

Jessica - I'm sure Treyton loved his cake too! They are so young, they don't even know the difference! Once they're older, they'll probably prefer the store cakes..lol Abigail just can't eat them, so I have no choice...lol

Thanks for the compliments on the cake!

Maryjo- WOW! The cake looks really cute! I bet it took forever. My mom does a little decorating here and there and is making amaya's cake for her party today. I'll post pix when its done.

Kim- I'm the same way, I can't really see myself doing that... i get too impatient...lol

Hey Jessica - How far back did you have to go to find this thread? I love your updated pictures! I just finished Abigail's birthday cake. All I can say is it's a darn good thing I don't do this for a living! I don't ever want to have to make another icing star for as long as I live!!

Hey Sweetie! I'm so sorry you're having such a tough time. Don't worry about venting to us, that's what we're here for. What's going on with the house? Why isn't it looking the way you want? Are you going to Argentina? How long will you be gone? I will pray for you Honey! You deserve some peace and relaxation!

Nicole - Emily's pic is adorable!!!

Tami - Glad the move went so well! I can't wait to see some new pics of the house.

Nicole, Emily new picute us so sweet! I can't believe how big she is! I bet Nico is not the only one growing, your little ones are like nephews and nieces for me, I can't explain how attached to them I feel.

Tami, I'm glad your move went well, ours not so well, but we are finally in the new house (unfortunately the contractors are still here and things are not looking as I wanted).

I need to relax, I need to RELAX!!! And DH too! I need to have some important work done before leaving on Thursday, which usually it might take a couple of weeks for a normal human being but I don't know why I push myself to do it in a record time, sometimes I think I'm the most ilogical human being of the planet ... don't try to understand me, I don't!

Nico is sweet, he is lovely and since yesterday I've being so bad with him ... I guest I'm frustated because the pregnancy doesn't allow me to do all the things I want, I feel like I need to rely in DH for almost everything and I hate that, I like to do things myself, I hate to ask him to move a box, or get me something from the upper shelf ... sorry, it has been a horrible weekend ...
I can't believe this thing failed again .. back to work, yeah, midnight here, and still working ... oh, it is Sunday!!! grrr

Wish everybody a good week, and to myself to accomplish some of the things I have ... at least, to have a safe trip, can't complain, it was me who has the crazy idea of going at 25 weeks pregnant with a 17 months old in a plane for 11 hours ... what I was thinking!

(sorry, have to vent, feel blue :( )

Emily can say RUFF RUFF. Its so funny. She has this BIG stuffed golden retriever toy and likes to hug and kiss it and bark at it lol
Her favorite animal has to be a kitty. A few nights ago she saw one on TV and yells out "HEY KITTY" well more like hey keee haha

Oh and Jim and I think she knows my middle daughters name. She has been saying Sierra lately. Not neccisarilly to her but its progress. It sounds like "seeewa" but it is loud and clear.

Tami, glad to see your move went well. Unpacking is always a pain but at least its better than packing up! I hate packing but unpacking isnt too bad. At least you get to start fresh and put things wherever you want. Do you plan on decorating Ellas room like her old one? I just loved her mural.

I just wanted to stop in to say hello. It has been along time since I have been able to check in. We have finally moved to the new house. YEAH! And now I am desperately trying to get everything unpacked. I love the new house and so does Ella. She is running around like she owns it. LOL I am exhausted though.

Jesica,
I don't know how you are managing to move while pregnant. Good luck! I am sure you will really enjoy the new house.

Jessica,
I am sure missed the news somewhere, but did your DH get that job he was interviewing for? I love the new pics.

Ella can say meow and woof woof LOL. It's funny because when she meows it really sounds like a cat, and she has never been around a real cat.

Ella had her first class at The Little Gym last week. She loved it. SHe was on the go the entire time. SHe participated in everything. She has been able to turn somersaults for several months now and she really enjoyed trying all the skill sets they were doing. She even got right up on the balance beam and walked it ( holding my hand of course LOL). I wanted to get her into something where she can meet other kids and play with them.

Anyway, I am sure I missed lots of stuff while I was gone, but I just didn't have time to go back and read everything. So I am sorry if I missed something important: )

Cassie, welcome and congratulations!!!

Jessica, I'm not tired of saying what a beautiful family you have, love to see the new pictures, keep posting!!

Maryjo, I would love to hear Abby saying kitty cat, how sweet!!! Sometimes Nico wants to let me know there is a cat but he can't say "miau", and sometimes he says "woof woof" hehe.

How is everybody else doing?

We are so busy I barely stop here anymore, but I'm always thinking of you. We are moving next weekend and we haven't started packing yet. The house is worst everyday, I can't believe it! It was a house to move immediately and we broke it :o !!!
We are finishing the basement and because I wanted it so much, remodeling the master bathroom, and everyday a new part of the house is open, like a closet, the family room carpet, now Nico's room carpet + wall (next to the bathroom) ... ohmm!!! but i twill look great, I hope so.
I'm living like crazy, getting up early and very tired, driving long distances between daycare, rented apartment and the new house, working around the clock, ohm, but very happy :)

We decided to call the baby Franco and I should finished the blanket design if I want to knit it on time. I'm 24 weeks already and afraid that if it goes like with Nico, he will be here very soon and I'm not ready!!!

Have a happy Easter everybody!

I put up a couple new pictures today. I finally posted a belly picture too. I don't think I mentioned that I cut all the kids' hair last week. I didn't do too bad, but Allison's hair is kind of layered unintentionally :). We are going out of town tomorrow so I may have a friend fix it. We shall see. DH is bald in the picture of us. He shaved his head for a fundraiser he was doing about 2 weeks ago. He liked it so much he has decided to keep it that way for a while. I think he is nuts, but I love him with or without the hair :).

It sounds like she is getting pretty good at talking and it is really cute that she wakes up all happy seeing the cat in there. Treyton loves animals, but we don't have any.

Thanks Jessica. I would have been pretty darn upset at that cat if I had to go back in there...lol She just gets so excited when she sees him. He was in my rocking chair this afternoon during her nap too. So the first thing I hear when she woke up was "kitty cat" Ha ha ha!

My damn cat!!! I'd put Abigail to bed at 7pm like I always do. I close the door almost all the way, but leave it cracked open a hair so the air circulates. She doesn't have a window or vent in there. So The Beast (cat) goes in there to sleep in my rocking chair, and aparently woke her up! I could actually HEAR her talking to him. She kept saying "kitty cat kitty cat" and babbling at him. I thought for sure I was going to have to go in there, but thankfully she went back to sleep. Stinkin cat! Ha ha ha!
