A week ago I was having a pain like cramp on my right side and thought it would go away. I had been standing a lot during the day and helping prepare for a wedding. I laid down for a nap, got up and it still hadn't gone away. I called the nurse and described to her what I was feeling and she said it was unlikely to have contractions on one side. They eventually went away, but I learned not to over exert myself.
If you're worried about call the nurse.

anxiously awaiting Sept. 30 baby!
I'm on the right in the photo with my best friend who is 20 weeks.

I guess they are diffent for everyone. Mine felt like back pain which is what I experiece during my period so I guess like mentrual cramps and they keep gettting stronger and stronger and then I remember feeling like I was constipated but it was the pressure of the baby. I was also told to go to the hospital when I cant walk and talk and when I got to the hospital I was already 8 centimeters but I could still walk and talk so I was worried that they were going to send me back home. good thing I still went.

D,
It is possible, but unusual.

Attempting to explain the gift of FAITH to someone who has not been touched by God is like attempting to describe the world's greatest Cabernet Sauvignon to someone who does not have the gift of sight, the gift of smell, or the gift of taste. They might, on some level, acknowledge the possibility of its existence, but they will never be able to fully acknowledge, comprehend, or accept its truth in all its complexity.

Is it possible to only hurt on one side during a contraction? Last night I kept having a crampy feeling on my right side.

They start as menstral type cramps. After a while you start to feel them move around until you feel them all around your torso, back, and upper legs. When there reaches a time when you can no longer talk through the contractions and you need to stop what you are doing to handle them, you are really in labor. For some, they feel like Braxton Hicks at first, but they don't stay that way, they get stronger.

I have only been in labor once 4.5 years ago, but as I recall it felt like I had to poop (gross I know) but that was once the baby dropped. I had very light labor possibly false labor for like 15 hours before I was admitted and I was only admitted because of complications. Those contractions were 4 min apart and felt like braxton-hicks, if you haven't had any of those, for me they feel like the baby is stretching out in every direction or pushing out, but obviously it's not the baby doing anything it is your uterus cramping. hope some of that helped.

Do they feel like menstrual cramps or sharp gas pains?

Confused and would like to understand.

Thank you
