Hello Ladies,

An hour after Jacob was born we invited our family to come into the recovery room to meet him. It was a great celebration with Aunts, Uncles, grandparents, great grandparents and cousins. I wasn’t feeling well and before I knew it I ended up throwing up. I couldn’t believe how quickly the room cleared and it was back to just Pat, Jacob and I.

Hopefully that will not happen this time around.

Well my mom and MIL along w/ my husband was in the delivery room with me. While I was pushing, my husband was trying to help by putting his arm behind my neck/back and helping me up to push and then releasing me back down when I had to take a breath. Well as soon as the dr. said he saw the head, right when I was about to take a breath to start pushing again, my husband didn't let go of my neck and I couldn't lay back down to get a full breath. Needless to say he got a good slap from me!

Also, I glanced over at my mom, when pushing, and saw how she was turning beet red from pushing right along with me?!
I thought for sure she was the one who was going to have hemoroids when we were done!
She also told the dr. to sew me up an extra stitch, while he was down there! Thinking it was funny. I told her to SHUT UP!

Your stories are so funny, especially yours PREGGOUGAFAN and SANPOBLE. Everyone's stories were funny (because they didn't happen to me), but you two have stories that are worth passing onto other people :-) Great posting Linda!!

MOMMY_DENA17, I would be horrified if my MIL said it was ok to fart in front of her. When I was 12 I had a leg operation and I still remember the nurse handing me a bed pan and expecting me to pee with her watching. I couldn't even do that.

LOL those are too funny.

And on the passing gas and pooping subject...if my husand can pass it in front of me, then so can I. He really wishes I wouldnt because lately I have been deadly but OH WELL .. he will get over it!

LMAO!!! Your husband sounds like mine. I actually just put a sign on my bathroom door that says girls don't poop. We don't talk about poop either, I tell him I haven't pooped since I was 2.

I was put on a liquid diet after my delivery. I was told that they wouldn't put me on solids until I passed gas. I guess they figure if I couldn't pass gas, then I couldn't have a BM, so no solids.
Well, come the second day, I kept having the pain from gas bubbles, but I had so many visitors all the time that I could never let it go. I was in so much pain and was never alone to let anything out. I never have farted in front of my husband or anything either. So everytime it was just us, I would wait until he went to have a smoke and try to push, but of course I never had the pain then.
My in-laws came by as well and I told Bob I'd like to keep the visit short and he asked why, so I whispered to him that I had to pass gas in order to have solids. He rushed his family out of the room and they wanted to know why and they told him because I had to use the bathroom. So his family was standing outside the door to my room waiting for me to be done going to the bathroom, even though I just wanted to be alone for the night so I could let my bubbles go, not poop.
So I called Bob back in the room and explained it to him. He went out and got his family and they came back in and my MIL started up a conversation about my gas and poop and that it's natural if I had to let it go in front of her.
I was mortified and at that point I just wanted everyone to go away I was so annoyed.

Then there was the 5am whistling nurse who changed my catheter bag, she was just insane.

2 things that pop in my mind when I think of embarrassing moments on that day. My birth went fast..and I had a choice to take an enema and forget the epidoral...or visa versa..so I decided to forget the enema and when pushing I pooped on the table 3 times...even though they had a pad there and cleaning it all up in seconds, i was so embarrassed...

also...my BIL had to take me to the hospital because my husband was still trying to make it home from work inthe city, and when we got there he helped me with a lot anf they brought me inthe room and got me ready, but I was anxious for my epidoral and my contractions were 2.5 minutes apart and lasted for 30 long seconds...LOL...so the nurse wanted to see howmany c.meters I was diolated, so she lifted my sheet with my legs in these metal things..and my BIL in birds eye view...LOL...NO JOKE---I yelled and said NO..and threw it back down and my BIL turned really fast and covered his eyes...LOL..I said "THAT'S NOT MY HUSBAND!!"...the nurse felt so bad after....and my BIL swore he did not see anything...BUT OMG!!!!
That would have stuck mentally to both of us if he did see...
Now I can laugh about it...but how embarrassing..

Linda that is very funny!!

Mine is more "gross" than anything I guess but it was embarrassing. At my c-section I got home 4 days later and really wanted a hot shower because I felt so dirty. Taking a shower in the hospital is just not the same as at home.

So my husband was trying to "help me" and all of a sudden a big thing of "blood" came flying down my leg, and he immediately started throwing up all over the tub. I mean it was like INSTANT!!

I was hurting so bad from having staples in and having to hold myself up that I couldnt hardly laugh so I started crying instead. I was embarressed that he had to see that but it was funny to see him get so sick about it.

Needless to say he has warned me this go around he will not be helping to bath me right after I get home....LOL

OK ladies I know we have all talked about the horrors and pain of childbirth and motherhood. But what about the embarrassing/funny things that have happen. Here is my most embarrassing moment.

I had a c-section which for me was no big deal. I was up and walking around and feeling very good in the hospital. I never had any contraction and have no clue what labor is like. Every morning a new DR would come in and check my incision and make sure that I was feeling OK and my husband was there for each check up. Well on day 3 a new DR comes in and she is the flakeiest DR in the group. She has my chart which clearly states that I had a c/s. She asks to see my rectum. I turn over and pull down my underwear and yes my husband is watching everything. I am thing to my self why does this Dr want to see my bum? She tells me everything looks good and it hits me she was checking to see if I had hemorrhoids. I was so embarrassed and my husband is laughing at this point. Then she asks if I have had a bowel movement right in from of him. Now I have been with my husband for 20 years and we do not discuss bathroom happenings with each other. I always make sure the door is closed and locked. I really do not care to share this part of myself with him. After the DR leaves my loving husband in his beat Beavis voice says "You showed the DR your a$$ and you took a dump". I just wanted to kill him.
