Hello ladies, I am on my fourth child and 33 years of age. My children ages are 18,14,12. People have alot of negative things to say. I am married and this is my first child from my husband. My husband and I are happy about it. My husband says it is a blessing from God.

but here he/she is . i was so stunned at first i didnt know what to think of it for about 4-5 days. im very happy now, but, with every pregnancy you get a little wiser and i think maybe a bit more scared (at least for me) im so cautious right now. anyways, im due 04-06-07. i cant believe im gonna have 4, it feels completly natural, but i think after #2 it just does'nt matter they just all fall into place.

Girl, you are the bomb! People call me crazy everyday when they think about me saying i want 10 children. I think they look at children as burdens and can 't really embrace the full idea of being a mother. Motherhood is about love growth and family. And most of all it's God's WILL and first commandment. HE said be fruitful and multiply. He never said as this world gets worse i need you to stop having kids..lol:) Having a child look up at you and say, mommy you look pretty today or i love you is not something you can just get from anywhere. The WHOLE experience is a blessing. I'm on my 4th and hoping it's a girl. If not i'll just be itching for #5. My husband was in denial at first, but he'spretty much over it. What choice did he have anyway, honestly. Maybe if people would change their mentality they'll be able to see pregnancy like we see it. Have a blessed day and a wonderful week!

Wow. It is funny that you say that! I am expecting my 4th baby and I have been married for 2 years. I was never excited to be pregnant because people always had something to say. I am 32 and I have a 12, 8 and 2 year old (ALL GIRLS). My husband is very excited and tells me how blessed we are to have another child. I am happy and everyone seems to have something negative to say? My 4th child it's a BOY and I'm thankful that I didn't let people's thoughts, get in the way of my personal decisions. End the end, my husband and I take care of them all. I feel great!!

Hello Ladies,
I am 37 with # 6 on the way. My oldest is 18, and my youngest is 11 months. I also have 14, 12, and 10. YOu wouldn't believe the comments I get. I just tell them that children are a blessing from God! I just can't understand why people think that they have the right to say things like "when are you going to stop" etc...
Even the lady at my doctors office said "congratulations, I guess, are you happy about it" I said " yes I am other wise I do know how to prevent it"
Having children is a personal choice, and who knows I may have another after this!!!!!

HI! I'am having #4 baby and I'm excited. My husband and I have been married for 2 years and friends respond to me "you don't need anymore kids". My response back is I can take care of my kids and have never asked you for formula or diapers. I just hit them back hard. It's no ones buisness. I have a 13 yr. old boy, 11 yr.old girl and a 7 yeard old girl and another girl on the way. Having a baby is a blessing and another added addition to our family. For those who have #4 on the way, GOD wouldn't put nothing on you that you can't bear. I'm almost due August 17 and can't wait to meet my bundle of joy. Good Luck and stay awawy from negative people.

Good luck with everything and happy birthing!

Hey girl, you have a beautiful family. I will find out what the sex of this baby at my 32week checkup, I decided to go ahead and find out. We have three boys ages 9,5,and 3. I think its a girl because of the morning sickness for the first four months and now at seven months pelvic and back pain. This baby is lazy and sleep all the time. Good Luck with the fourth baby and I hope things turn out o.k. Olympia

Hi everyone. :) I'm also being blessed with our 4th child, we have 3 boys and hoping for a girl. We've been married for 11 years, and all the boys were planned, but this one was a surprise. I can relate to the worries on telling people, my father in law lectures us beyond belief each time we get pregnant, we haven't told him yet, but need too soon, for we're already in the 2nd trimester.

Best wishes to you all.

it has been a while since i have posted in here. I am now 38 weeks. I have been reading the posts, and i remember the feeling of not wanting to tell people it was my fourth child because of the reactions. I dont care anymore. There are people who think you shouldnt have kids because of one reason or another. People dont understand that this is a blessing to have a good strong family and it is all in gods plans! Well, it is getting close and i am soooo sore! I am 4cm 50% effaced and just hoping that these contractions will hold and get close enough together that i can go in!

Congratulations on baby number 4!!! Sorry I don't live in Texas, I am in Boston but I am dealing with the same thing. I am 28 and delivered my baby girl in January (she was 5 weeks early). I got the stares and questions alot also when I was pregnant and they are even worse now that I have delivered, especially when ever I go out with my children. My husband and I never thought twice about having Mizion our fourth child, but it's funny how when my mom and mother in-law (who had 10 children) were coming up it was ok to have a big family but now it's not. My in-laws thought we were crazy as well for having another child our kids are 8, 6, and 4 and yes they are a hand full and with them and Zion I am very sleep deprived, but I would not have it any other way. I also get the nasty looks and the questions of why would I have another when I have three already (as if it is a crime to have more than three children) but when I do I just smile and reply that it makes our home that much more loving and it does!!!!!!

I have found out that I am having another boy! yeah for me. My daughter cried and my husband was a bit disappointed my older son didn't want to share his room with 2 little brothers. Oh well!!! But I am excited just to look at my babies and see wow they are growing up. It is like yesterday I was just holding them (now they can talkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk) but it is okay I enjoy them and their different personalities. I wonder about this one because he is standing straight up so he stomps on my bladder (when I saw my ultrasound they showed him kicking frantically over it) So now I honestly believe I am done. I want them to donate my tubes to science. (hahahaha) Anyway congratulations all. Have a blessed day!!!!

Hi all ,
Well i know what it feels like when you tell family and friends you are preganant with your 4th for me it was a very big shock as it had only been 5 months since i had my tubes clamped my husband and i decided 3 was enough.
Well my 4th a girl came along and i would not change a thing. My husban and i seperated and i met my soul mate and the man of my dreams i knew then the moment i met him that i wanted to have his baby at 30 with 4 children friends thought i was mad, but it just completed our family.

After 3 years of trying in Jan 2006 we had to do IVF/ICSI as hubby had low motility and low sperm count we had 2 embroyos inplanted and in Feb we found out we were pregnant with twins......oh my god was what all my family said 6 kids hubby and i were so excited at the thought.at 9 weeks pg i miscarried one of the twins it has been hard i am now 14 weeks pg and i had gotten so use to tthe thought of 6 chikdren.

Friends and family say its for the best i was crazy to be wanting 6 kids, my nan always told me that while im not anywhere near religious mind you, that some women are born to have many children as they are the special ones that god chooses to raise gods children.....

I love all my kids while things may get tight financially at times and my house is a mad house almost every other day,my husband both i work hard our kids are the best behaved kids in the wourld, socially active and have many friends, life couldnt be better all i can say love it and live your life our children are our future even if it is 4,5,6 The more the merrier i say.

Hi Annie J,

Another Southern Hemisphere mom! Yay! I'm from South Africa.

When my son was born in Sept 2003, my eldest daughter was 3 1/2 and my second daughter was 2. After the initial adjustment of simply having a new baby, and getting around the psychological "I can't do this - there are way too many kids here", it was actually quite OK. I was at home for 7 months after my son was born, so perhaps that helped with the adjustment. My mom stayed with us for a few days after he was born, and when she left she asked how I was going to cope. I told her, well, I'm just going to have to! And you do. Now that we're expecting #4, I have a few more misgivings! But my eldest is now 6, the second nearly 5, and my son turns 3 in Sept, baby is due end of July. I have a friend who had her 4th about a year ago, and she said that the change from 3 to 4 is more difficult than from 2 to 3. Her kids are a little more "spread out" agewise than mine - her eldest is now 10 - so perhaps that's why. But I will say that my 4th pregnancy has been the hardest physically for me. I'm 29, so I suppose I should be "young and fit and healthy", but I guess my body's just worn out a bit. I find that I am much tireder during the days (let alone when we get to bedtime - I'm usually asleep first!!), and my body is more sore and achy.

Also, about having them so close together, I would advise having a bit of a break, even if its just a year. My first two are very close in age - I became pregnant with my 2nd when my first was only 7 months old, and I just felt like I had been pregnant my whole life! Also, having 2 "babies" at the same time (mine were 15 1/2 months apart) can be really trying and difficult sometimes. Now they are fine - and best friends, but the first few years were really tough.

But whatever you decide, everything of the best!!! Do you know if your new baby is a boy or a girl? Have you chosen names? Ours is another girl (thank goodness - one little boy is QUITE enough for me thanks!!), and her name will be Elizabeth Jessallyn.

Hi There,

It's been fun reading about all you mums expecting your 4th baby. I'm 40 years old, expecting #3 on 4th July (have a daughter 4, and a son 2), and am seriously thinking about having another child soon after this one. As I'm 40, I don't want to leave it too long, but my main concern is how I will manage so many youngsters, and how I will manage a baby and then getting pregnant again when it's 6 months old.

Do you mums out there with 4 have any info for me? What's it really like with 3, is there much difference when #4 arrives? It's hard to make a decision when I don't know what having 3 is like, and would also appreciate knowing whether having 4 is great, or if it's a bit overwhelming.

Thanks

Yup this is my fourth. Has anyone noticed the looks when you go to the store with your kids, and they see you are pregnant??? They look at you like you are crazy! Or when i go to get my nails done and they ask if it was planned? Hello!! All i can say is atleast we wont be so lonely when we get old and gray!

I forgot to add-when i finally told my MiL (2 weeks after everyone else). The first words that came out of her mouth were-have you ever heard of birth control?? Talk about making me have to bite my tongue. I wont go into detail on the conversation. But she is fine with it. I think the comment from me 'this is another grandchild, arent you happy?' really made her have to think about what she said!

Congrats to everyone on #4! We just found out our number 4 is finnally a GIRL!! We have 3 boys now, 7,6 and 3. We have had the same experience that some of you have about telling others, but we play it like this. We have always told people we want like 10 kids more for a shock value then anything, so after the 3rd one came and they gave us greif we just kept saying oh were only less then a third of the way!! Its not really true, 4 may be all we have but we just love to make those nosey people shocked! There going to be anyway, why not have fun with it!! So this time around when we told everyone it seemed like they all just held there mouths and congratulated us. It helped that this is the first girl out of 8 boys on my husbands side! So of course they were happy about that!
Enjoy you bundles!

I'm also pregnant with #4, due May 30. I have two boys, ages 8 and almost-five, and a girl who is 3 1/2. This baby is a girl too. We also kept it to ourselves for over 4 months because of dreading people's reactions. I wasn't actually happy at first either. We used to always say we wanted 4, but our third came only 14 months after the second, and that sort of wore us out! But we are happy about it now, and for the most part people seem happy for us. My mom acted like she just couldn't believe it at first. She has 3--I don't see how 4 is so much "worse," lol.

My dad just shook his head and didn't say anymore. He was more worried about me going on maternity leave at work and how they'd react than anything else. I'm sure he'll be fine now that he's had time to let it settle but I'm sure everyone on my husband's side of the family will talking. I think my dad took it better because I am one of five children so it didn't really surprise him that we wanted a large family. Of course we were surprised by all four pregnancies but that didn't make them any less special:)

So far I think the only people that are really happy about us having our fourth is well us. My mother in law is none too pleased and when we told a few people it was "really? you sure you want to do that?" That is what I was the most afraid of, no one really being happy for us. I guess it shouldn't matter as long as my other three children and husband are happy it doesn't really matter what they think:)

Stacey,
Yes I remember after having my 3rd baby my mom told me not to have anymore kids...Lol and my Aunt kept telling me to have more...So yes unfortuntly they were agrueing about why and if i should have more kids...Were the moms and we have choices...I still thought my last baby is still way to close but I will love this baby like the rest...Somdays I do to feel I want to run and hide and get away for awhile..I even thought of taking a vacation Alone...But when I do get that chance I can only stay away for a couple of hours...Good Luck with keeping your family guessing...Let me know if any eyebrows rise hehehe.....
Sincerly your Friend,
Tracey

Thanks Tracy. Congratulations to you!! I remember what it was like when all my kids were really little. I had 3 under 3 y/o and it was very challenging at times. When my baby was just 2 weeks old my then 2 y/o got the chicken pox, which ofcourse she passed to my 1 y/o son. I was homebound for what seemed like months!! I can remember vividly a particular night around midnight when I was bathing my son in aveeno, nursing my new baby and trying to help my 2 y/o use the bathroom. I just felt like crawling in a closet. But as it is said, it all came to pass, it didn't come to stay. This time around will be so different. I know that my 8 y/o is going to be taking over all my motherly duties as quickly as she can. lol They are going to be very excited. I'm sure everyone else will come around, but like many have said, they think we're completely crazy for even having 3. I may just have some fun with it and see how long I can keep everyone guessing. ;)

Stacey

Hello again everyone! I had my ultrasound a week ago and IT"S A BOY! Hooray, finally we got our boy. We're all so happy, especially my girls. They can't stop telling everyone about their soon-to-be brother. My husband and I can't seem to come to an agreement about a name, but so far it looks like it's going to be Liam Alan. I am definitely starting to feel pregnant now. My back is even starting to hurt. I normally don't have any backpain. I hope this doesn't mean that he's gonna be huge. My varicose veins are acting up too. I only get them when I am pregnant and then they go away. I also have noticed that I only have them on my left leg. Weird, I guess my circulation is worse on that side. Well, keep in touch everyone. Bye for now.

Happy Birthday!! That is a really pretty name. We have been throwing out names but nothing has stuck yet. I go natural but all of my labors have been at least 16 hours or longer so I'm not looking forward to that but I used to it by now. All of my babies were big too. Alexis was 8 lbs 1.2oz Dimitri was 8 lbs 14.4 oz and Zoe was 9 lbs 7 oz so chances are this one is going to be big as well. I am trying to watch what I am eating more this time since I'm not a young as I was with others (I turned 30 last year) and I don't want to have to struggle to get the weight off afterwards. How weight did you gain? Have you gained a lot so far? In the past month I have already put on 6 pounds, I think I may need to cut back on those cookies:)

My EDD is 4 August, so I'm now 19 weeks along. I had morning sickness from 6 weeks to 16 weeks - the longest 10 weeks of my life!! I had it really badly (hyperemesis gravidarum), so I was really glad when it was over! Lost weight that I'd been struggling to get rid of though, so I guess it worked out! My eldest is Emma (6), Rebekah (4.5) and then Jared (2.5). They all wanted another girl, and that's what they're getting! Emma and Bekah have already settled on a name - doesn't look like hubby and i will get much say in the matter! They have decided on Elizabeth Marie, which I think is quite pretty. Our birthdays are spread nicely all over the year - Emma is in Jan, mine's today :-), Bekah is in May, DH is June, new baby is July/August (I usually go early), and Jared is 1 September (first day of Spring here in South Africa!). But it sounds like you are going to be seriously busy this halloween!!! Do you go natural or caesar?

My EDD isn't until 11/2 but I'm hoping for a Halloween baby. My oldest is Alexis (7), then Dimitri (6) and Zoe (2 1/2). I am dying to find out what it is. My son told me that this one better be a boy:) I tried to explain I didn't have any control of it but we'd find out in a couple of months. How old are yours? When are you do? I know I'm really early on and Thank God, I haven't had any morning sickness or dizziness but really tired. My oldest two were born in October and November and my birthday is in October as well so either way we are going to be busy during those months from now on:)

This my fourth as well and most people have told us that we are crazy for even thinking of having another one. This will be my last and I plan on enjoying it as much as possible. Right now i have two girls and a boy (we are hoping for a boy to make it even:)) It's good to see I'm not the only one out there having my fourth baby.

So, It has been a while since i have looked on this one. I am 32 years old. This is the 4th pregnancy past 12 weeks. i am 24 weeks and well on my way! This pregnancy i started getting sciatic pain almost a month ago. I dont remember getting it this early on. Maybe it is because it is the fourth one. The only time that it isnt too bad is when i am at the gym. Maybe because i am focusing on my class-it still hurts with certain movements like lying down for chest presses or tricep presses. Any way, is there anyone else who has this already? I hope everything is going well for everyone else.
