We're having a diaper shower/pool party for all our friends Aug 4th. We agreed to have it at our house since we have the pool and the most space. Glad thats all we have to do for it though!

I was supposed to on 8/11...we are 36 weeks then.
But my hostess called yesterday to tell me that even though we have been planning it, she forgot that she will be in VEGAS that weekend.
I am not sure how you forget something like that, but she did. So we moved it to 7/29.

My friends are throwing me a shower on August 5. My co-workers want to throw one near the end of August. I'm due on September 20. Since it's such a generous thing for anyone to do I won't dare complain about the dates!

I think I am having one this weekend (surprise??) and then for DH side, one in August. I am not too concerned. I like to have everything prepared, but then if I do it too soon, I think I will get a little bored!

Oh--right on, mine is on August 4th also...I'm due September 12th. With me having GD I was worried about having my LO early, but probably not. My last 2 were ON TIME. Almost to the due date on both! ;o) Yeah, I have 64 days to go!

I am having my shower aug 4 and I am due sept 7 so I think that is a good time gap to where nothing should happen.I was a little worried about it at first becuase I had son at 35 but this little one looks like she will be here for a ahwile with son by this time I was alreayd having symptoms of him wanting out and she just peacfully stays in :)

My DH's squadron is having a shower for me in August sometime. I don't think there will be any problems with it. My friend also just had a shower at 36 weeks, and she was fine!
Think of it this way...you are the prego queen! They will probably wait on you hand and feet anyway. So sit back, and enjoy the day!!

My shower is 4 weeks before my due date as well. I have worried about it a little, but it was the best date for everyone involved, so I'm sure it will be fine.

My shower date is a bit of a thorn in my side. It is for Aug 19. I will be 35 weeks...and if I have to have a c-section...it will be that week!! I wasn't a happy camper to say the least...but my MIL has already put so much work into the shower. BTW...the date was set by my own mother.

I'm having my shower Aug 11. I don't foresee any problems. I'm not due until Sept. 20th though. If it makes you feel better my shower last time was 2 weeks before my due date.
I"m glad you're going to get a shower. That's really cool of your friends.

Okay, first of all I want to say that my friends are soooo nice because I didn't think I was even going to have a shower. A lot of my close friends moved out of state this year, so I didn't expect there to be anyone around to throw me a shower.
So anyway, a local friend has offered to throw me a shower, and I'm really excited. Three of my close friends are planning to fly in for the shower. One is already planning a trip back with her family in mid August, so they are thinking about having the shower then, so she can go. I would love to have her at my shower, she is one of my closest friends, but I am a little nervous about having a shower only 4 weeks before my due date. What if I'm early? I guess I shouldn't worry about it since I didn't think I was going to get a shower at all.
