i guess it depends on your Doc, mine said it was find to use it, and while I was sick it was the only thing that helped me sleep at night with out dying of cough
but I guess we should all go by what our own doc says,

Actually, that's a good question. I didn't ask about Vicks Vapor Rub, but something tells me it might be the same issue.

The issue with the IcyHot is some chemical in it called Methyl salicylate - I guess that chemical has not been proven safe to use with pregnancy.

It must be a doctors view on things because when I was sick I called and ask if I could use the vapor rub and she told me no way. So it must be different doctors.

I know itís not the same, but it is a rub on thing, Vapor rub.
I asked my doc if it was ok to use it when I had a cold and he said I can use all I want of that stuff, and I know you can use it on pain as well

Just thought I'd let you girls know that I just found out IcyHot (or similar muscle rubs) are not safe during pregnancy. My knees are killing me, and I was envisioning rubbing some IcyHot into them tonight but though I better call my doctor first. The nurse told me that it was not safe. :(. Just thought I'd pass along the info!
